Hello Everyone!

I am 24 years old and I have been diagnosed with asthma for almost a year. To top it off, I have also discovered I am allergic to a number of trees, grasses, and weeds. I am a very outdoorsy person. So that is very disappointing.

I am posting to ask about a recent medication my allergist has prescribed me. The medicine is called Zafirlukast. Has anyone experienced weight gain? I am very concentrated on physical activity and maintaining my current weight. Any feedback will be helpful! Thanks!

What are you doing to relieve the allergies? Not just the symptoms.

"Zafirlukast is used to control and prevent symptoms (such as wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma."

I was using Stinging Nettle to control the allergies. It helped some but not enough.

I am now seeing a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) who gave me D-Hist orthomolecularproducts.com/... exceprt below.

It has really helped me to cut way down on the rescue inhaler.

I found a cheaper brand with the same ingredients online - at half the cost!

Best of luck!!

Natural D-Hist is a targeted blend of flavonoids, antioxidants, proteolytic enzymes and botanicals designed to provide comprehensive support for seasonal challenges caused by common environmental allergens. The formula includes quercetin, bromelain, stinging nettles leaf, and N-acetyl cysteine. The powerful combination actively promotes healthy nasal and sinus passages for individuals with elevated histamine and respiratory irritation.
