Covid-19 & Afib
Hi I'm in a dilemma, I am on medication and further tests re Afib. I'm having tests as up until January my Afib had been very stable. Since January I seem to be having episodes everyday. I don't want to overreact but are you socially isolating including speaking to employer to arrange to work from

Some advice on self isolating please.
I wonder if anyone could offer advise. I suffer with asthma that is pretty poorly controlled. I have a Qvar preventer inhaler and the usual blue inhaler. I normally have to take my blue inhaler 2-3 times a day. I always end up with chest infections when I get a cold and was really poorly when I contracted

More vulnerable to Covid 19 with only one kidney?
I was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2017 and had my right kidney removed - I am in remission but as I now only have one kidney have a reduced kidney function which I understand is normal. I do get the flu jab free ( I am 58). I have spoken to lots of different organisation about whether I should consider

Vaccination advice
My lupus diagnosis is fairly recent and I haven't had the pneumococcal or flu vaccines. I spoke to the lupus nurse yesterday and she advised me to have them if my GP surgery is happy to do them. So, I rang my GP and unfortunately got to speak to an incredibly unpleasant doctor, who I avoid whenever possible

Do you have RA? Are you advised to have a Flu Jab each year?
If the answer is yes to both the above questions - then you must practice social distancing! Flabbergasted, there are some people who still don’t understand this!!

Covid-19 are we at risk?
Less a question, more a point of view. There are an increasing number of questions about our health and ‘the virus’. As a heart health site we are now all worried about ‘the virus’. I am not an expert, but I think I’m quite rational and quite informed, although learning all the time. So I just want

I'm trying to find out if I fall into the group of people, that are advised to be "shielded from social contact for around 12 weeks".... I've been told by work that I have to work from home for 14 days, because of my health condition however, I'd prefer not to have to go back after 14 days and stay safe

To anyone querying if they are high risk/should isolate due to covid-19 (or are caring for someone)
I apologise if anyone considers this to be arrogant or in any way condescending, that’s really not my intention, but I’ve noticed quite a few posts over the last few days (somewhat understandably) from people with lung conditions or caring for people with lung conditions, asking about whether they should

Been ill for 5 days. Is it corona?
I haven’t posted for a while as I haven’t suffered AF or even tachy for some time. I thought I’d tell you all this though: I’ve been very unwell since Sunday. I do work in an independent primary school where Children cough on me daily and travel all over the world in each school holiday I have not gone

Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation sufferer. Will we be required to self isolate?
Hi everyone I’m new to the forum and this is my first post here so forgive me if this has been asked. I’m 28 from the UK. I have Paroxysmal AF. My last big attack was 2 years ago, when I was hospitalised overnight. I’m otherwise in good health. I have been offered the flu vaccine the last two years via

COVID-19 advice please: Lupus but only take Hydroxychloroquine!
I have Lupus but only take Hydroxychloroquine. I am confused- do I come under the 12 week isolation or is it only if taking immunosuppressants as well? They keen referring to those who have the flu jab (I do!) I've read the excellent updated information on this site but still don't know! Many thanks

I work in a primary school. Will my head teacher expect written proof from my GP that I should self-isolate?
Hello I have had PMR and GCA for 3.5 years. Was on 40 mg of Pred. and have tapered, very slowly down to 6.5 but I am now unwell again with painful legs and arms, not neck or shoulders. GP recommended I go back up to 15 mg as she thinks it could be another flare. I am 61 years old. Yesterday I told my
