Superscan?

Is this how a “superscan” might present? From MD Anderson February of last year after 9 rounds taxotere. He had never shown bone involvement before- only extensive bone MARROW involvement- but now all scans say things like “diffuse” and “extensive” when referring to bone mets. This is only bone scan he has ever had until last week but we don’t have the results back yet. He was told last week (after thankfully we had made the switch to UTSW) that he has officially “failed” Xtandi. They have one possible study but 30% don’t get the treatment and he would have to endure ANOTHER 6 rounds of taxotere. Dr Courtney also encouraging exploration of other research facilities. So if we have been to: UTSW, MD Anderson, U of Chicago, Mary Crowley- if there were any other facilities or specific dr’s you would see who would it be? We’re pretty much in desperation mode. Any suggestions appreciated! Thank you!

What's a "superscan?" It sounds like it's in the bone marrow only. It says there were "no suspicious focal" bone mets.

So CT from same day says “diffuse sclerosis in bones” “also multiple sclerotic lesions in the vertebral bodies” and most in keeping with metastatic disease”. Diagnosis given that day were: malignant neoplasm of prostate, secondary malignant neoplasm of bone marrow, secondary malignant neoplasm of bone, secondary malignant neoplasm of lymph nodes of multiple sites. My understanding from UTSW is “superscan” is when mets are too diffuse to count and they extend throughout axial and into appendicular skeleton.
