Xtandi
I've been taking Xtandi for over 3 years. I drink like a drunken sailor, and I'm not even a sailor. I assume that anything in moderation is ok for most people. As my wife, many years ago, pointed out "All these drugs say don't drink. Have a drink." Not giving advice, just relating my experience. Seizures are very rare and I have not read that they are related to alcohol. If I'm wrong, others here will certainly jump in and say so.
Drinking 1 or 2 six packs of beer and stopping abruptly can get the man into Alcohol Withdrawal Seizures. But ONE beer?. .Let the man have his one Beer...with a condition that he will drink it slowly in a meditative mood and enjoying the beautiful evening with his wife. This setting and style is good for Immunity boosting. So you say. to him .."Cheers ! But one beer only...my man !"
A good dark beer or a glass of wine should be fine....I've been doing it for a couple of years with no sad effects. A stop at a craft brewery my result in 2. You only live once and with a death sentence hanging over our heads, why miss out on one of life's sheer pleasures??
Couldn’t agree more. At 75 and Stage 4, I refuse to deny myself some of life’s pleasures, so a glass (or two!) of a good Aussie red is essential with dinner. PS, I am on Zytiga not Xtandi
4 years on Xtandi and still drink alcohol in moderation with no side effects
Three years on Xtandi, no side effects, apart from headaches.
Cheers! 🍺
I drink Scotch and I'm pretty sure that has more alcohol than beer. Im okay with it pretty much very okay while indulging lol. Leo
Been on Xtandi now for almost 5 years. I have had a few drinks and not experienced any side effects. Just doesn’t taste good anymore. Fighting the monster 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I have been on xtandi for 4+ years. My wife and share an occasional glass of wine with dinner. I have a nice German beer with my pizza on Saturday nights.
Bitte!!!
Been on Xtandi for only a lil over a month and still drink beer(my only vice left :-)!)Just got four Growlers (64oz) of Golden Road Christmas Cart via a drive thru brewery inOC, CA across from Angels Stadium. No side effects with the Xtandi so far!
A couple of kids(of 5)home for Christmas(NYC & London) we've gone thru two of them already. $10 for 4 the jug and $8 for the refill
Really tasty beer! Hope you beer drinkers are able to find it wherever you are
Fight on and Drink on!

Golden Road Brewing Christmas Cart
ABV: 6.0%
Golden Road’s new limited-edition holiday version of its Fruit Cart series is a wheat ale brewed with cherries and spices — nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and allspice, to be exact. You definitely get a lot of that spice, both flavorwise and on the nose, to the point where it overpowers the cherry. Eleven months out of the year, that’d be a disappointment, but Christmastime is all about those spices, and Christmas Cart almost feels like the lighter, beer version of a mulled wine.
Depends......Can or Bottle?..............

Around the time I was on ADT for about 3 years and then got onto Xtandi, I started having some symptomatic Afib. Over time, I identified alcohol as one of my possible individual "triggers", at least for me. Now during a nice meal I occasionally say, "I remember wine.", and we have a good laugh about it. Sometimes I can just sip just a very little bit of some good wine for the taste with food, and it's OK. I have found that something like Heineken 0.0 non-alcoholic beer is pretty good, too.
I'm glad that so many others have tolerated Xtandi so well. For myself, a few months on the drug has caused serious side effects. Among them is a complete inability to drink alchohol.
