Xgeva and Diet
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 in Aug 2016, chemo in Winter of 2016, I get Lupron and
Xgeva
shots quarterly. PSA was 0.1 after chemo, is now 5. Is anyone else taking
Xgeva
? Wondering how vital it is for my treatment, the side effects are lousy, joint pain and back pain.

Howdy folks!
I'm on Lupron, Zytiga w/prednisone, and
Xgeva
. Pretty lazy/weak, but kicking it. Today, I got pretty aggravated. I've been on ADT for the whole time, and my wife asked me about being on estrogen, I said I wasn't, then a minute later, her friend asked me the same thing. I am losing it.

Experience with Xtandi
Been on Lupron and
Xgeva
( for bone mets) for 6 years and got 5years out of Zytiga and now on Xtandi 2 mos ago and PSA has been stuck at 15-16. If no drop at next lab test, my Onco will start something else. Have not done chemo and c/t scans have been clear.

About me
I am in Ibrance, Femara, Faslodex and
Xgeva
. In my 3rd cycle. A Dr doing a bone biopsy fractured my thigh so I had to have a hip replaced. They wanted to do 5 treatments of radiation because the ball sits on a hip joint that has cancer. I was told I wouldn't notice I had the radiation.

My Cancer Journey
I am presently using lupron, zytiga, prednisone,

Have you taken bone strengthening meds since being on ADT?
I'm wondering how many of those who have bone mets, and are taking ADT have also taken or are taking bone strengthening meds such as Zolendronic Acid (Zometa) or Denosumab (
Xgeva
). I've taken one infusion of Zolendronic Acid so far, but will discuss continuing it with my doctor next week.

Leu 177 and Advice
Im now on
xgeva
. Ive used lots of natural supps, juice, meditation etc but my PSA is around 120 now and I have mets. Just wanting thoughts. I wasnt offered chemo at the start of all this. The leu177 has the least side effects and has been effective in Germany.

Petscan shows improvement but Ca 27-29 keeps on rising
Her oncologist started her ibrance, Fasodex and
Xgeva
which seemed to be the treatment recommended by several second opinion oncologists. Her last petscan showed no new cancer, some of the lesions have disappeared, some have shrunk and a couple of them did not change.

Thanking God for NED - With prayer took Ibrance, Letrozole, Lupron, & Xgeva (and some supplements like Tumeric)
Hi everyone, I wanted to start my own post because I didn't want to take up more of Susan's NED post with my stories and replies to others. I am a VERY private person. But since being diagnosed with cancer, I only share this story to help others....or even one person. Here is my story....Part I.....

Is an RP viable in later term PCa?
I've been on Lupron the whole time, Zytiga added last year after a spike in PSA, and
Xgeva
started 7 months ago. Last year I had three mets, today I have none. My question: Is it too late for surgery? Can it even be an option? Would it improve my Quality of Life?

Gone Fishing
Continuing with hormone shots (firmagon) &
Xgeva
. On a happy note, my youngest daughter & I on the Feather River last week. She caught the biggest catch of the season (according to our guide) and made the cover of his website! 32 lb king salmon.

Ibrance
I've been on Ibrance and Letrozole with monthly
Xgeva
injections since April. Had bone scan and CT in March and recently in August. Showed some mild progression in SI area and a possible new spot in upper lumbar spine. I have numerous mets throughout my torso which appear to be stable.

A clinical trial for me.
My oncologist has suspended
xgeva
because I may have ostenecorsis. He will continue to hold
xgeva
until the oral surgeon verifies what it is. Here is a list of my meds so far. Taxotere, Zoladex, Lupron, Zytiga, Prednisone, Xofigo and now back to taxotere.

Vanishing Mets?
I'm almost eight years on Lupron, Zytiga added 12/16, then
Xgeva
started 3/17, BIRM started 5/17. Hey, had to mention it. There is a trade off though, my PSA continues to creep up at .2 increments every four weeks. I get labs done tomorrow, but last month it was 2.9, up from a nadir of 1.

Weakness in my legs
Also taking Lupron every 3 month and
xgeva
once a month. Have had a ton of cat scans and nothing is obvious other than bone mets. Now doc has suggested Cat Scan Myelogram to check my spinal cord even though I have no pain in my lower back. No way I will have a Myelogram.

New to group
I have done radiation and now taking Ibrance, Letrozole and a monthly
Xgeva
injection. Side effects of all are tolerable but still have moderate lower back discomfort. My hope is these drugs will continue to work for a long time and I can enjoy time with my family and friends.

Elgie's bone scan and CT scan
We were able to keep the
Xgeva
but went from every 3 months to every 6 months. I'm still working on finding a replacement for Dr. Myers. Left messages for appoitments.....still waiting for return calls. I hope everyone's doing okay with little to no pain. Always good wishes ;)) Jackie
