Hello,I was on Xeloda for past 9 months and took 2 pills in morning and 2 pills at night for two weeks. Then, one week off. It sounds like your sister may have wrong dosage. Check with her oncologist immediately!! Bless you! 💗💗

Hi. Susie started on 1000mg/kg so this is calculated on her body mass, please do check your sisters. The tablets in the UK come in two sizes (sorry, I forget the dose per tablet) but Susie was taking circa two in the morning, 6 at night. That's now been upped to 1650mg/kg so maybe 8 per day. Dr Keith Block recommended taking just two after breakfast then take the rest before bed, this reduces toxicity and improves the performance as it works better with your own circadian rhythm, he has researched this. It might be worth a consult or just trying it? Susie does get tired at about 5pm, she is 39 and 60kgs, just to add our reference if it helps. I hope your sister finds the solution. XXX ❤️

Hi. I was on xeloda 2000mg 2 I’m the morning 2 at night. But my liver enzymes got elevated. The doctor switched me to 1500mg 1 in the morning 2 at night. I take it two week then one week off. I believe that your sister is overdosed Best,

I also was started out on the same dosage and it was totally horrible side effects. Lost all the skin off my hands and feet day one. I could not be out in the sun without feeling like I was about to pass out! I came home and looked on this and another couple of sites and could not find anyone taking that large of a dose. I weigh 110 lbs and the next closest dose I found was 190 lb man taking 3000 mg. Then I looked on their official site and it said 1250 2 x’s a day is normal dose. Since the pills are all 500 mg, I cut myself down and tolerated the drug quite well at a lower dose. It quit working for me after only 5 months. I was stage 4 MBC and am now on chemo infusions. My oncologists seems to have the mentality that MORE is better!

In my opinion that is much too high of a dose. Blessings to you both.

Hi Marina I'm on the chemo Gemzar every other week. Was supposed to be 3 weeks on and one week off but wbc count was always too low for 2nd week. I have ct and bone scans on Wednesday 3/2/22. Was thinking you recently had scans. How were your results. Prayers for good news.....❤️

Hi Kelly,I hope you will have good scans. I am having mine on 03/1. It was postponed because I had a heart procedure. Good luck on your scan!
