What companies do you recommend for private affordable blood tests as I can’t remember the ones you’ve mentioned before . Thanks
Louise - hypothyroid , just want to have them done privately for my endocrinologist I got through this website , as my GP’s won’t understand how the thyroid TSH works etc etc ( without me having to go into it you all know what I mean anyway - almost easier to get them done privately rather than on NHS

Help Please - Endo has increased my T3
My latest blood test results - T4 17 (12-22) - T3 5.1 (3.01 - 6.8) TSH 0.01 (0.27 - 4.2). I can never get an early morning test at this hospital, my blood test was 1pm. I had stupidly forgot and took my T4 75 mcg before bed. I did not take my T3 until after the blood test. I still feel very unwell

Early morning blood tests
I see on other posts that an early morning blood test before 09:00hrs is suggested for an accurate reading. I went to have bloods taken yesterday morning at 08:55hrs for ferritin. My phlebotomist found that my blood flow was a bit on the slow side... but ok for the lab test. She thought she might have

Tweaking T3
Hello, Sorry to post yet again. I've gotten so much advice already and I will most probably have a go at the single dosing of T3 in the fall, but for now I have to make due with my split doses. I was feeling a bit off lately: increasing pain (back, leg, muscle, knee) in my right leg. Something that

Thyroid cancer, hypothyroidism and kidney function
Hello, I’m usually on the pernicious anaemia forum but I’ve been recovering from a diagnostic hemithyroidectomy confirming thyroid cancer. I think I am beginning to enter hypothyroidism in a big way and am waiting for my NHS TSH test results. I know that private free t3/t4 etc. testing is better but

Constantly overheated
I’ve had hypothyroidism for over 10 years and first few years struggled to get my meds correct in terms of ‘ how I feel’ (unbelievably sluggish and tired) which has meant fighting my Gp to allow TSH to be on low side (0.03). As I’m in UK they won’t test T3 levels only TSH and sometimes T4 (which last

First bloods after starting levothyroxine only TSH tested?
Good morning, I asked for both T4 & T3 to be tested? The nurse explained that "it's only done at the lab if needed" so how's that going to work? How will the GP know if I need an increase etc.....no answer? What are we dealing with here? Has it always been this way or is it because the NHS is basically

Monitor My Health Results Layout
Hi all, I did a home test earlier this year after covid that showed I'd become hypothyroid, (I'm now ok). I would like to show these results to my specialist but he only accepts results that have the patients name on the same page as the test results. MMH have graphs meaning my details at the top

Was it a TIA?
Hi all, recently had a suspected TIA nearly 3 months ago. I got home one night and went to lock the door and I couldn’t get the key in the lock. I had no pain, no disorientation or confusion, no blurred vision, no pins and needles or numbness, no slurred speech, my left arm just felt a bit heavy. I immediately
