Severe emphysema - my 6 monthly visit to Specialist
My GP had told me to use my
Ventolin
inhaler 3 times daily but the 'very good looking nice young consultant' could see that on top of the other inhalers, it gives me the shakes and told me to stop that and just use when absolutely necessary.

Worried
I have carbocisteine ,
ventolin
, Eklira and Fostaire. Is it a case of getting the right medication or do I need to use what I have longer for better results. Thanks everyone.

Seretide question
My asthma is well controlled - I rarely use
Ventolin
. However my weight is a worry and I suffer from idigestion and acid reflux. Would stoping Seretide help?

Breathing tests show normal. I am confused
I went to the hospital yesterday to do a volume loop reversibility
ventolin
and a couple of other related tests in readiness for my forthcoming appointment with the consultant. However I am now very confused as he said that my lung capacity was normal and nothing wrong with them at all!

Hello Asthma friends
I can still rely on
Ventolin
and Atrovent up to 6 puffs a day. It's been ok, my voice is slowly coming back. I have a hospital appointment about that next week. There is a test they can do they irritate your bronchia to see if your asthma flares up. I won't put myself through that.

Peak flow
It bothers me that I can't get it any higher and the only thing that works is
ventolin
, both with pef and night time wheezing. Should I ask to try a different medicine? Or am I just making a fuss about minor details? Have any of you managed to hit your personal best without
ventolin
?

What a difference a day makes
Well had a bad few day/weeks chest infections steroids but woke up this morning feeling good took my meds last day on prednisone 👍🏻Still 2 days of antibiotics to go fostair and atrovent inhalers taken but
ventolin
not needed so far, so I'm going to go into town and treat myself to a new dress.

Review and Spirometry Test - Result.
The
Ventolin
is back on having been left off on my last visit and Symbicort 200micrograms continues. So after many years of disinterest in my breathing difficulties, apart from thousands of repeat prescriptions, I'm now getting the full monty.

Totally getting fed up now
Went to the Drs yesterday because having to use more
ventolin
so he put me on a added inhaler, woke up this morning with an elephant sitting on my chest an coughing up green gunk (sorry) so looks like another trip there ☹️ If my surgery was on gp behind closed doors I'd be the star of the show I'm there

Asthma in young child
The gp suspects asthma and has given her
ventolin
inhaler with spacer & mask. I'm struggling to get my daughter to take it properly. She panics with the mask and gets upset. Can anyone give any advice please?

Advice greatly appreciated.
Ventolin
don't work anymore. I use oxygen, I see my oxygen nurse every six months, that is the only input into my Emphysema. I send for a repeat prescription monthly. I was diagnosed type2 diabetes 18 months ago, was given Metformin and that was it.

How long to recover from an attack?
Serotide x2 daily Singulair daily
Ventolin
as needed. I have regular checkups and have not needed a change in medication for a while. I had an attack at work last week, first one in about 18 months. Ended up in AE for treatment. 40mg steroids daily x 6 days to take home.

How long before u get an attack if stop preventer?
I think the inhalers ( seretide and
ventolin
) have been aggravating the vcd as I'm hyper sensitive to irritants, and as doctors not convinced if asthma, I decided to do a test, so I stoped the seretide. It's been 7 days so far and no attacks, although some chestyness. My throat has improved.

Plagued by Thick Mucus.
hi - i've been using
ventolin
for a couple of years - it used to work but now the phlegm problem is getting worse & it sometimes makes me wretch when i try to clear it. it's clear/grey & very sticky just like wallpaper paste - when i try to spit it out it actually hangs in suspension from my mouth.
