Not sure what to do
Didn’t eat any dinner, went to bed and fell asleep quite quickly after 4 puffs of
ventolin
. Woke up at midnight, then again at 4, had six puffs and went back to sleep for about half an hour before getting up for work.

Hypothyroidism & Asthma - any link?
Recently told I have asthma and given a
ventolin
inhaler to try for a few weeks. My question is regarding a link between the two conditions - Is anyone aware of a direct relationship? I’ve read that asthma can go hand in hand with autoimmune conditions but what about specifically hashimotos?

Baby with “asthma”
Our GP has given us a blue inhaler and calls it a viral wheeze (as too young to diagnose asthma) what is concerning however is that neither the steroids or the
ventolin
(4 times a day) has eased his wheeziness. Could it be something else? I’m uncertain how to proceed?

Lots of Ventolin affecting voice?
In the last couple of days I have needed lots of
Ventolin
and noticed my voice sounded a bit odd when answering the phone, even when I had temporarily banished the symptoms. I know it makes my hands shake which is annoying as people think I am anxious.

Asthma Exacerbation Protocol or treatment chart
My peak flow had been this low for 2 days before this (I been treating it with
Ventolin
4 hourly with just being very tired) but I think that's when I got to crisis point on Sunday morning.

Cold, asthma attack and cancelling breathing test
Now learned how important it is to keep an eye on your peak flow and when
Ventolin
isn't working to get seen at A&E asap.

Seretide 'step-down'
They have already stepped me down from a 250 evohaler to 125 causing me to need my
Ventolin
daily again. Any similar experiences would be appreciated.

Respiratory Arrest
I’ve been told if I need to take 3 or more puffs of
ventolin
I need to see GP as my asthma medications aren’t working effectively. I’ve decided to cut my hours at work, I was struggling to do a full day, so cutting them down to 6 hours.

I have chronic asthma and have been successfully managing my asthma with
Ventolin
/ Seretide for years, or so I thought. Since December I developed a sore throat, coughing up plenty of mucus, now chest feels tight.

Never ending cough misery
No asthma medication seems to make any difference to it although
Ventolin
and terbutaline calm it down for a short while. Has anyone else got this hideous virus? Is it a virus exacerbated by asthma? Should I be more patient? Should I insist on seeing the specialist?

colds and asthma
This was after having
Ventolin
so my peak flow is definitely effected. I going to do again in 2 hours time when the
Ventolin
wears off. I am nursing my poor hubbie at the moment who gone down with flu. So glad for the having the flu jab. Is there any other advice people can give me.

Wheee! A diagnosis and a plan...
Am still on Fostair (I like that - it soothes and I can feel relief faster than on
ventolin
only!). He liked how I am keen to manage things and be flexible like that. Of course, the fly in the ointment is if I get another cold or flu.

Hi asthma mates!
I am aware of all the ‘tricks’ like
Ventolin
before going out walking, warm up, start slowly, and scarfe over face and all that - though I would feel a bit silly doing warmups before popping in to the local Coop, just 3-4 minutes away.....
