S/C bronchodilator infusions & syringe drivers

Hello all,

I have s/c ventolin which I use currently via a Graseby MS26 syringe driver....

I did have two Grasebys but one went wrong last week and I swapped it on the ward for a McKinley T34 syringe driver. I know the Grasebys are more or less obsolete now.

I have my community matron popping in tomorrow to set it up (it is currently locked in its plastic case!)

Pros and cons please of the McKinley???

Can it be used OK without the case on? Otherwise it is quite bulky!

Many thanks

Kate

Hi Kate,

Glad to see you here, sorry I don’t know anything about sub-cut infusions, as luckily I have never been that unwell. But it’s good to know you are still here 😊😊😊.

If you get no answer here someone on the British lung foundation board might help, they have many more members, so you will get a better chance of some info.

Thanks Risabel, BLF won't be able to help as it is an area they won't really cover. It is more of a s/c users / community matron query.

However, I have had quite a bit of help and advise elsewhere. Just need the pump adjusting to the correct settings now which is being sorted next week.
