Coming off Qvar?
I'm not a diagnosed asthmatic but I was given a
Ventolin
inhaler after 1 month and Qvar after 2. We're currently trialling Omeprazole for possible silent reflux, and I do believe it is making a difference. I've only needed my blue inhaler once this past week for the first time.

prednisone side effects
My breathing improved (although I was still taking a lot of
ventolin
and it's bad again today) but I have not felt that sick in a very long time. All of this happened while I was at work as well and my coworker and boss both got extremely worried for me and wanted me to go home.

ventolin
, antihistamine nasal spray, Carboceistibe (sp), nasal wash out etc. and still having regular flare ups since January. Why doesn’t anything seem to work!!

Why is exercise feeling difficult?
Since then I have had many more chest infections and asthma flare ups and I now take fostair 100/6 2 x 2 and
ventolin
as needed plus antihistamines for hay fever season. I am struggling to run and need to keep stopping regularly.

Increasing intolerance to steroid inhalers
My asthma nurse in unhappy as I do have to take my
Ventolin
several times a day, although for me, as I've had asthma since I was about 5, it doesn't bother me. Anyway, I take a Montelukast tablet every night (no problem).

What I wish I had asked my GP/asthma nurse (when first diagnosed 😉)
Is there a limit to how much
ventolin
I can use? - the answer is ‘no, not really’ but having a ‘limit’ given by the GP will stop you over medicating without seeking help.

I still take one puff of my
ventolin
before I go to sleep every night and at the moment that works for me and just hope this continues though the winter.

Fostair dose
I supplement with
Ventolin
if I’m a bit chesty. A friend who is a nurse says I can use the Fostair two puffs twice a day if I find that better than using the
Ventolin
as 2 puffs twice a day is normal dose.

Coping not cured!
And yes I try not to forget the
Ventolin
if I go out. I just wanted to share that there is light at the end of the tunnel. But you need the right medication. Take care

Adrenal insufficiency: a general information post (does not replace medical advice)
I am the person who makes noises and ends up needing
Ventolin
every time I have this test (3 times now), because apparently lungs need those inhaled steroids even if I don’t do much with pred.

Post Covid Asthma won't settle
Reduced
ventolin
back to as needed. Week 8 Very little change. Still getting asthma symptoms when trying to go for a short walk (10 min). Having to use 2-6 puffs of
ventolin
most days. Peak flow ranges between 350 and 475 during the day.

Advice welcome
I currently take fostair 200/6, spiriva, montelukast and I’m down to 4x
ventolin
every 4 hours, I’ve also done the covid test and have to wait 48hrs for the results.

What I wish I had known (and what I have learnt through trial and error!)
As a 20 year old, I would just see if it would calm down by itself, waiting months before seeking help even if I was over-relying on my
ventolin
. I now know the soon it’s treated the less likely it is to get severe and the quicker I’ll get over it! 4.

What is your weirdest trigger or your funniest location of attack?
