Coping not cured!

Good Morning everyone - every day I read these posts and very often I find them so concerning! I was diagnosed at 20 with asthma but it took me years to accept. For a very long time I was always too embarrassed to use my inhaler in a public area andmong friends! This resulted in many trips to A&E. A few years ago I was put on 2 daily preventatives - Serevent and Flixotide which certainly helped. The pharmaceutical company then joined them together as Seretide and I have never looked back.

Now I am so well that very often I forget to take the Ventolin inhaler with me when going out. My last hospital admittance was Jan 2015 and that was quite a bad attack with a first responder arriving within minutes. However I now ensure I have the Seretide every morning and night and this has helped tremendously. I have learned that the preventative must be taken daily to be effective! And yes I try not to forget the Ventolin if I go out.

I just wanted to share that there is light at the end of the tunnel. But you need the right medication.

Take care
