So I'm waiting for an ambulance but never been to hospital before - what to expect?
GP suspects a chest infection on top and added antibiotics but it's 3 days later and I'm still needing
Ventolin
every couple of hours. I've called 111 and they are sending an ambulance, but I've never been hospitalised with my asthma and don't know what to expect.

Trimbow v Braltus
After recent exchange with her GP we switched from Braltus to Trimbow and the improvement in frequency and severity of flare ups has been extraordinary to the extent that the use of
Ventolin
has declined from say 6 a day to one or two. Does this fit in with other's experience?

Assuming it's not those with severe asthma, so does it include those on daily strong steroid inhalers, those on lesser steroid inhalers or maybe those that only need to use their
ventolin
every now and then? Would be grateful to have your views on this.

COPD... Symbicort or Budesonide??
Heard good things about budesonide and I'm taking
ventolin
anyway, so may stick with this or should is it best just to go for symbicort as thats with formoteral? Would that be better in any way or? Anybody's experience with the above please? Side effects? Dosages?

Worried for the future of Asthmatics
There's triggers I try to avoid but on balance I generally need one
Ventolin
inhaler per month through the repeat prescription scheme.

I use
ventolin
, fostair 200/6 and spiriva respimat inhalers. I am prescribed 2
ventolin
, 2 fostair and 1 spiriva per month. I have sent a cd to the tribunal from the hospital that contains xray and ct scan images. Any idea why the dwp would do this ?

HELP- medication storing
I have 7 fostair inhalers and 2
ventolin
. Is it okay to store them in fridge (on the box it says that I shouldnt use inhaler after it passed 3 months from getting it from pharmacy) but I dont see a problem if they are stored in fridge?

Why is my breathing suddenly so bad?
My inhalers are flutiform (2 sprays twice per day which I have been taking during all of this time - I even tried doubling, tripling and quadrupling the dose to no avail) and
ventolin
(as needed - sometimes 8-12 sprays per day) which of course does help but not like it helped me feel normal prior to

Wheezing Cough
That’s not easy as it doesn’t want to clear , my shoulders and head hurt and I can’t breathe very well even with the
ventolin
inhaler they gave me & the braltus inhaler doesn’t seem to do anything either. I’m on my 3rd course of antibiotics & I had 6 days on prednisone. .

Ventolin restricted
I’m having a bit of battle with my GP surgery’s pharmacy over the amount of
ventolin
I’m prescribed. I’ve had 13 vent inhalers since March 20 ( I know it’s a lot), however with frequent flare ups & attacks in the past 12 months they’ve been needed.

Ventolin being stopped for asthma suffers
Happy New Year to everyone Whilst in hospital last week I heard rumors that
ventolin
was being stopped for asthma use as it is causing deaths. I am 68 years old and when at school some of my friends were asthmatic and used
ventolin
and still alive thank god.

Asthma and Occupational health queries
I tried my
ventolin
inhaler 5-10 mins before I knew I was going to be doing stairs and I really did feel like it made a positive difference to me. 1. Am I ok to do this before if I know it helps, or do I wait til I become breathless on the stairs then take it?

Coping with breathlessness
The breathlessness usually resolves with
ventolin
, but when it’s bad I need several puffs and to sit quietly in a recovery position trying to calm my breathing, which all feels a bit dramatic. I get extremely tired as well.
