Hayfever in October!!!
Hi folks, I was diagnosed with asthma last year after 2 hospital admissions for bad wheeze, constant cough, runny nose etc. I also had to be admitted via resus with a pretty bad asthma attack which was scary stuff, seeing the worried faces on the paramedics didn't help. I was prescribed seretide 250

Worsening asthma since taking Fostair, despite peak flow etc. looking fine
I have been on Seretide 250 until fairly recently, and my asthma has been the best it has ever been, only needing to take Ventolin about once every 6 months. Since taking Fostair my asthma seems to have got gradually worse, and I am now taking Ventolin most days. I have spoken to doctors about this

Asthma review
Hi there I’m new to this and I wondered if anyone else has had the same experience. I’ve recently moved to a new surgery. My old surgery had a fab asthma nurse and she was up to date and it was reassuring to see her. This new surgery doesn’t have a asthma nurse so my review was done by ‘the nurse’. She

Meds changing
My GP now has a letter from the consultant I saw a month or so ago. He recommends changes: No more Relvar or incruse, instead use anoro.( Which COPD nurse took me off because she said it was wrong for me and making me worse, and I did improve after changing to incruse and relvar) No more Fostair.....

Asthma and Croup
Hi there, this is my first post and I suppose I am really just looking for some advice or tips from parents who have had experience in dealing with this. My son is 2 1/2 and since he was around 9mo has been experiencing "Asthma like" symptoms. At 13 months he was admitted to hospital for 3 days, and

Not Asthmatic Diagnosis
I have short breath all the time specially in the morning but without wheezing or cough. I feel breathless with cough only after exercise (without wheezing). I used a peak flow for 3 days and the variation was 15% but I didn't try it before and after exercise. I asked the pharmacist about a medicine

Bronchiectasis
Hi Everyone, I joined the site a month or so ago and I can see that it's a good community. To be honest, I don't post that much but I thought that I would share my experience. I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis in July 2015. I had been coughing on waking and a little blood had appeared in my mucus.

I did post a while ago about my current problem and no one had seemed to experience it, also medical profession don't really know so feel abit of a freak and would love some help or to hear from someone else who's had it!
