How could AI help in asthma care?
Hi all! I have a question for you: as an asthma patient, how do you think AI could potentially help meet needs you have that aren't currently being met? For example, I have been reflecting on how doctors could potentially use AI to more accurately diagnose, treat, and educate patients. For me personally

Odd episode.
This am: took my meds (nothing new), used my new but long prescribed Anoro. Then had breakfast. Suddenly, during breakfast, felt very ill, gasping for breath and all over body aching. Had to lie down. Tested: temperature 36.1; pulse 80; but oxygen saturation just 88. Used Salmon inhaler (prompted

toothpaste trigger?
last night when I was brushing my teeth my asthma really kicked off, I couldn’t breathe out so couldn’t breathe in. Luckily I had an inhaler in the bathroom. I’ve struggled to breathe when brushing my teeth before but never as badly as this. Does anyone else struggle with toothpaste? Is sensitivity

Hi there, I am on seretide evohaler 250 x 4 and recently added on spiriva respimat and montelukast (which have been a game changer in stablising things) after worsening chronic asthma. Am in process of getting comprehensive lung tests under a a consultant. He suggested to stay on seretide high dose

Luforbec review
I try not to be negative about any changes to my asthma medication, but I am struggling with Luforbec. I use a spacer and as I inhale there is a sensation of residue/powder hitting the back of my throat, making it impossible not to break off the inhalation, to cough. I hope I can get used to the unpleasant

Fostair inhaler
I took one of my Fostair inhalers apart the other day and found that they contain lots more powder than the device tells you.

Why am I losing my voice
Hi AllI am on Relvar Ellipta inhaler for my COPD which has been really good for me. No cough, no breathlessness, little mucus. However my voice is different and sometimes I am really croaky. I drink lots throughout the day ( not alcohol leave that to a few night's a week). Has anyone else had this

Don't exercise - just dance
In January 2020 I caught Covid on a cruise (I was 79). I "toughed" it out (what an idiot) until it flushed out health problems that had been lurking in the background, i.e., Atrial Fibrillation, High Blood Pressure and Bronchiectasis. I had to give up work (I had planned to work till I was 85) and was

Asthmatic run this a.m.
W4r2 I took my inhaler this morning but first 3 min run was a struggle after that it settled and was OK. Wonder if I am starting off too quickly. Will make an effort to stay slow. Otherwise legs fine. Ready to go again!

asthma making me nervous to do cardio exercise
hi all, so I’m on trimbow and rescue inhalers. I’m probably about 3-4 stone overweight for my age and height and I do smoke, but I am managing to cut down. I always feel like I struggle to breath but my peak flow is around 600 mark and my oxygen level is good. I do suffer anxiety though and my breathing

Dear All, Just so you know, in medicine, we use the acronym PINCH ME for this symptom.
P - Pain
We can experience severe pain due to P.A./B12 deficiency needed to make the outer covering of nerves.

Outdoor symptoms: daily patterns in ozone
I have posted here about 2 weeks back asking what others thought about the reason behind their variation of asthma symptoms throughout the day (morning vs evening), especially outdoors. Sorry for the long post, just had to get this off my chest. It's been hot and sunny here in Basel, CH, for the last

Does peak flow increase in non asthmatics following ventolin?
Say someone has no classic symptoms of asthma (wheezing, breathlessness or coughing). Peak flow has always been low their whole life but has a small variation everyday (290- 330). Spirometry is normal (including above average fev1). No change in peak flow following a 5 week steroid inhaler trial. Can
