Update - I am 6 month clear in Blood and nodes via MRI on Captivate Imbruvica plus Venetoclax trial.
Hello, I am pleased to report I am still MRD negative in the blood after over 6 months. My recent MRI scans show my nodes are still normal. I am most likely on a placebo. Per the trial I am on either a placebo or imbruvica. I am pretty sure a placebo given the fact that my side effects went away.

CLL is gone!!!!
I am on the 2nd cohort of the Imbruvica/
Venetoclax
trial for treatment naive patients. It's only been 8 months and the treatment has been a real miracle. Now I am thinking of all of you. I know there will be a treatment that works for all of you.

Successful start of second arm of Acalabrutinib, Obinutuzumqb, Venetoclax Trial
One month on Acalabrutinib knocked my nodes down to less than half and my WBC from 82,000 to 62,000. Started the Obinutuzumqb arm yesterday with the 1/10th dose, with side effects only from the Benedryl. From yesterday to today, on only 1/10th the dose, I went from a white blood cell count of 62,000

Modified venetoclax ramp up
Has anyone been put on a modified (rapid ramp up)
venetoclax
plan? Edit: My Dad has completed the first full week on 20mg but will now cut the 50mg week short to 4 days -proceeding to 100mg on the 5th day. Does anyone have experience with a similar or different modified dose ramp up? Thanks.

Bone Marrow Biopsy and pain
I've been on the Ibrutinib/
Venetoclax
trial for 8 months now and last Friday my blood test came back CLL free. I underwent yesterday my 2nd bone marrow biopsy since I enrolled the trial. My bones are very dense and the first biopsy was nothing else than a torture with excruciating pain.

Statin use/cholesterol management during venetoclax
Has anyone had to use statins/cholestorol reducing meds during
venetoclax
? In particular has anyone used ezetrol or crestor? My Dad was on statins prior to commencing
venetoclax
and he is hoping to continue with the statins if they will not cause any trouble.

U-MRD6 is the new MRD-
MRD6 may become increasingly relevant if
venetoclax
-based regimens and the addition of novel agents to chemoimmunotherapy achieve U-MRD6 in more patients than FCR.

Hydration for venetoclax
Does anyone have any advice on how much water to drink each day? Should this increase with the ramp up each week? Thank you.

FLAIR Trial 2018 update
The Flair Trial researchers think that ibrutinib with rituximab, or
venetoclax
, might work well for people with CLL who haven’t yet had treatment.

CLL Advocates Network Horizons conference just completed in Prague
A special mention to CLLPAG and Lymphoma Canada who gave an inspired talk on their collaboration to get approval for
Venetoclax
. We can learn so much and it's important to work together and share. CLLAN is a wonderful platform for this to happen.

CLL Treatment Sequencing by Dr. Susan O'Brien
Venetoclax
just had its label expanded based on the MURANO study, and that was the randomized trial of
venetoclax
and rituximab versus bendamustine and rituximab. That trial showed a clear advantage in PFS under the
venetoclax
arm.
