Biologicals vs wheeze
Bit of a strange question (and very niche I know!) Bit of history first; I used to be a ‘traditional/textbook asthmatic’ with a wheeze, reliable PF the works (only problem was I didn’t notice symptoms and we couldn’t get control). Was diagnosed severe, difficult eosinophilic and atopic and put forward

VEDOLIZUMAB FAIL
Has anyone else on here had such debilitating side effects from the above drug that they want to give up. I have had two of the loading injections and since the second there has not been a day in the past 3 weeks that I have felt well. I am constantly exhausted, have an abscess the size of an egg on

Mepolizumab
I’m on my 18th mepolizumab injection and I am delighted to say that there has been a significant improvement in my asthma condition however I've come up with spots and acne on my face. My GP thought it could possibly be caused by the effect on the immune system as a result of the mepo. I was wondering

Mepolizumab - thoughts?
I have been on mepo now for 12 months - my pred has reduced significantly, from 50mg a day to 10mg. However it does not seem to have the effect of a high dose of pred - if I need to exercise I need some pred as well. I am not sure I will ever completely come off the steroids.

Eosinophils
My eosinophil are back up to 0.9 since stopping Mepolizumab, stopped due to side affects . I wasn’t sure it was helping but the way I feel now is much worse. Just wonder if it’s just a winter thing.

Hi is there anyone on Xolair or Mepolizumab or has recently had it but stopped for any reason. I took part in a medical research questionnaire on it and got paid 80 pounds for it . It’s all above board . It will take about 60 minutes on a phone call , there are no right or wrong questions just your opinion

Mepolizumab - And discontinuation of Prednisilone.
Hi, For those of you who are taking Mepolizumab what was the protocol for discontinuing Prednisilone before you started it? Is it done gradually? Can I do it myself or would I have to be admitted to hospital? What were your experiences? I have CSS/EGPA (10 years) Any information gladly received.

CAN ANYONE ON MEPOLIZUMAB TELL ME HOW THEY ARE DOING ON IT PLEASE?
Hi all, I am currently in the process of fighting to be given a chance on Mepolizumab for my severe refractory eosinophilic asthma and chronic eosinophilia. I have already delineated all of the details of that in my earlier post but it then occurred to me that perhaps I should also ask those who are

Severe Refractory Eosinophilic Asthma - the next chapter: My Story
My story is similar to a lot of people with SREA. I was finally diagnosed in 2016 with this life changing disease after making 5 appearances at A&E and subsequent hospital stays. I lost my job because of all the absence. I missed my family and friends. My partner was neglected. My life had changed but
