Anyone on mepolizumab?
Hi everyone, One of our teams at Asthma UK are putting mailing pack that we send our supporters annually to thank them for their donations and let them know the difference their money is making. They really want to include a short story with a quote of someone that is receiving Mepolizumab treatment

New injection Mepolizumab (Nucala)
Hi All, I started on the new injection today Mepolizumab (Nucala), they stopped the Omalizumab (Xolair) in March, I was lucky not to have any exacerbations while not having the jabs, so I hope this is going to give me some relief and normality back. Will have to wait and see how long this takes to kick

MEPOLIZUMAB
Hi Does anyone know what is happening with Mepolizumab (trade name Nucala)? I think it was rejected by NHS for England but approved for Scotland. Is there anymore meetings etc or information on it. I am desperate. Been on high dose of steroids for over 8 years now, my body is going, I cannot tolerate

Mepolizumab - rejected by Nice because of high cost
Just seen my consultant today and he said that Mepolizumab was rejected by Nice because of its high cost, now it went into additional consultation and Asthma UK also contributes into that consultation I've been waiting for this injections for 2 years, as many other people with eosinophilic asthma

Anyone familiar with Mepolizumab (Nucala or Xolair)
I am writing to get some information concerning either Nucala or Xolair. Both are new biologics for treatment of asthma and are injected every 28 days. I am usually a lurker (in the US) but read many posts here, usually daily. My only post before this had been concerning Azithromycin. A little backstory

Brompton mepolizumab injections for severe asthma update
Hi guys just wanted to update you on my visit to Brompton today. My consultant had emailed me about a new drug for my type of asthma (severe eosinophilic asthma) and today I was advised I will be in first cohort of patients to be offered this to block white blood cells that migrate from my bone marrow

Have you experience of being treated by Mepolizumab?
Next month NICE will be holding an appraisal on the use of Mepolizumab, for the treatment of severe Eosinophilic Asthma. If you have experience of being treated with this drug. Please can you contact John Mills john.mills@vasculitis.org.uk or Telephone 03003650075

Does anyone know of any trials for "mepolizumab" in the UK.
I know it was given and Orphan drug designation (EU/3/13/1116) on 12/3/2013 for the treatment of Churg Strauss Syndrome or if there are any hospitals that can prescribe it. Thank You
