Post Vats lobectomy
Hi just wondering if anybody had a similar experience- I had my surgery almost 3 weeks ago and am recovering well. I had 3 incisions of which one had 3 stitches and has healed well. The one where my drain was had only 1 stitch which was removed along with the drain the next day and this one is not knitting

Pleural effusion post second round(18 cycles) of Taxotere
The fluid in lungs seems to have refilled and doctor has suggested
VATS
biopsy and after one week of antibiotics, started him back on Enzalutamide. Any pointers on what to expect next or any similar experience?

Surgery this week
I met my consultant this week and he has booked me in for a
VATS
lobectomy on Thursday. Shocked at the speed this has all happened but extremely grateful. Naturally feeling anxious and worried about pain post surgery. Can anybody give me the benefit of their similar experience.

thoracoscopic lung biopsy (VATS)
Anyone out there have experience with
VATs
? Just curious how the procedure went and how recovery went. I have read that it's pretty safe and minimally invasive, but I'd love to hear your experience. How long it took, how long was your recovery, did you have any issues afterwards, etc.

Shoulder and arm pain
Last few weeks been getting severe shoulder/arm pain right arm - had
vats
lobe to my on same side over a year ago, doctors say it is 'probably' muscular and not related to my tumour. Severe pain and I feel unheard and unsupported. Has anyone else had a similar problem with shoulder pain?

Advice Pls! VATS vs. Open Thoracotomy (7cm 77 y.o.)? SoC vs. Clinical Trial?
We sought a second opinion at Stanford where they've recommended surgery first (50-75% chance that
VATS
is possible!) followed by adjuvant therapy. This is standard of care for a resectable tumor and per NCCN Guidelines.

Standard of Care surgery for 7cm tumor??
Or something less invasive like the
VATS
approach or robotically? We are considering a second opinion. Would be grateful for your feedback!🙏❤️

Lung lobectomy - waiting for lymph node biopsy and feeling anxious
My mum was found with a ground glass nodule about a year ago and after many scans went in for a
VATS
wedge section to remove the nodule in November. The nodule was caused by her rheumatoid arthritis but the surgeon noticed some “ dots” around it and “ specks” on her lung so sent it for a biopsy.

Post-pleurodesis pains?
I had a
VATS
pleurodesis done on both my lungs 4 years ago when I was 16 (both happened 3 months apart from eachother) after spontaneous pneumothoraxes. Both surgeries went fine and they haven't collapsed since.

Comfort at last!
I had a
vats
lobectomy over 18months ago and thankfully all well so far (apart from having treatment for anal cancer this year) but I digress. Wearing a bra is painful because I have a keloid scar from my cats op.

One year after VATS
Hi everyone:) I have been following along but had nothing to share for the last year or so since
VATS
in November, 2018. No longer have burning nerve pain but still pain to touch and tight band around rib cage. Gabapenten and amitriptyline not helping. No one knows why I have this pain.
