Thoracic Endo - advice needed
I had
VATs
surgery last year to treat a catamenial pneumothorax, but air still seems to be getting through holes in my diaphragm. My Thoracic surgeon has suggested having more major surgery to try to repair my diaphragm and remove any endometrial tissue.

persistent pneumothorax
He had to take a small piece of the the remaining r upper via
vats
and chest tube was inserted. Small pneumothorax noted and was unsuccessful trying to remove it to Heimlich valve over the weekend. Concerned that the pneumothorax is not resolving and what next steps would be.

Lobectomy query
Hello, My Dad had a
VATs
Lobectomy earlier this week. He is doing well physically and is home. However, he is experiencing strange feelings in his chest which make him feel very anxious, making it difficult to sleep.

I got my lung diagnosis after an excruciating wait, and it was a shock!
I made a post earlier in the year about waiting for my
VATS
biopsy results. My experience was very unusual, but if it helps anyone else in future, I figured it would be useful posting it. Last year I was having palpitations, and was sent to A&E just as a precaution.

Concern with my upcoming procedures.
I feel very privilege to be a good subject for this
VATS
procedure but the remaining nodules are very much on my mind. Is there anyone here experiencing a similar situation with multiple nodules? Many many thanks Christian

Constrictive Bronchiolitis - Please Help Me
Here is my story: I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 2017 via
VATS
surgery. I never really understood how I got it. I originally went in to my doctor because I had bouts of GERD that woke me up at night with severe coughing which then led to a fever the next day that resolved by that night.

Wait time for surgical lung biopsy results
I had a
VATS
wedge resection and lung biopsy done just over 4 weeks ago. The surgery went fine and they removed two of the nodules for testing. I’m all recovered now and back at work. I haven’t heard anything at all, and obviously the wait is excruciating.

Newly diagnosed GPA without renal involvement. Sorry it’s long.
My previous rheumatologist would not say I had vasculitis without a
VATS
biopsy. My pulmonologist strongly encouraged me to get another set of eyes on my records and images, someone with more vasculitis experience. My new rheumatologist has diagnosed me with ANCA vasculitis (GPA).

VATS update for all you beautiful people
I had an upper right lobectomy on 22nd of May and wanted to thank everyone for your pre and post operative support and suggestions for making recovery easier. I’m feeling so much better now although my remaining bit of right lung seems to be making mucus. I spend a bit of time coughing and spluttering

VATS/ thoracic surgery experiences?
I’ll also be having thoracic exploration (
VATS
) for the first time, I have been warned this is pretty horrible by the surgeons involved (thanks guys 😂) but just wondered if anyone has had it and would be kind enough to share experiences so I can mentally prepare?

Patients experience with RATS/VATS Lung surgery??
I have been frantically trying to decide whether to proceed with my scheduled surgery this month. It seems like it is the most logical choice, but Im afraid it is too risky and recovery is difficult. Can anyone share their hospital and/or home recovery experience with their surgery? Any advice?

Intercostal pain from VATS surgery help
I had
VATS
surgery. To remove part of my lung. After the
VATS
, I have a super sensitive intercostal area. Quite painful to the touch and feels like I have tight band around me and quite often get something like a cramp that is very painful and restrictive. Has anyone else experienced this?
