Sore leg muscles
Hi....I had a double mastectomy in Jan 2023 and finished my 4th and final chemo treatment one month ago. Since my 3rd treatment I have experienced extremely sore leg muscles 24/7 with no improvement. Has anyone else had this side effect?

BC metastasizes to dermis
Hi everyone, I would love to hear if any of your diagnosis’ are a local recurrence presenting itself as a lesion in your dermis as metastatic disease. anything different to do after another failed fet?
The reason I’m doing ivf is because my partner has had a
vasectomy
and so I have no known fertility issues at all. And his sperm was good. I’m a bit stumped on what else we can do to make this work…wondering if there are any clinics that specialise more in embryo implantation failures?

I have been in treatment for breast cancer since 2006 and have done the drill - lumpectomy, lymph nodes removal, chemo, radiation, herceptin, Arimidex for six years… then in 2019 a mastectomy, more hormone blockers, and three years of various combinations with Ibrance, which has sadly stopped working

Sex and rls
Hi I'm new here and suffering with rls. I saw on one post a mention of masterbation helping rsl I'm wondering if having sex would have a similar outcome?also a mention of gabapentine? I already take this daily for nerve damage to my back after mastectomy and reconstruction.Thank you

Hi, ongoing issue, looking for advice x
He had a
vasectomy
13 years ago, and a reversal that didn't work 3 years ago. The only way to fit into his side of the family is to literally breed. Every year on Boxing Day I get asked "is there anything you want to tell us?"

never adjusted
I had a mastectomy three years ago and I've never gotten over this deep seated shock as to how it looks. Don't bother writing if all you can think to say is I'm lucky the cancer is gone.

mastectomy
Well my surgery went well,Only problem was as I expected low oxygen levels after the anesthetic. so glad I opted for Mastectomy-would never have coped with further operations and up to 18 months of treatment if I had opted for reconstruction..Only appts now are with a district nurse to check dressings

Breast cancer - mastectomy or not
Hi allI was diagnosed with Stage 4a high grade serous OC in September 2022 and I've just had my last post-surgery chemo (for the time being at least)😊. I'm BRCA2 and aged 60 and the hospital genetics team have been telling me about the risk of getting breast cancer (as if ovarian cancer wasn't enough

Long-term Endo here but need advice around contraceptive options
Since then I've remained unable to have children (which I'm fine with) and my Husband had a
vasectomy
so I didn't have to go back on birth control as I've never found one I got on with... I'm still covered in stretch marks from my first pill experience in my late-teens!

off Pramipexole
It took me 6 months to come off Pramipexole very slowly! Breast cancer interrupted things and I paused my reduction programme whilst I had a mastectomy. After surgery I had some respite from my restless legs as my ferretin levels increased which is normal after surgery. They are dropping back now.

Hurts breathing in on left side/lung...
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone might have experienced this or some thoughts. Sorry this is so long a post. This morning I woke up and my left lung/back/shoulder hurt, much more so with breathing in. I thought it might be I'd slept oddly and/or my arthritis as other parts of me ached and back and spine

why do some MBC get mastectomies?
Hi All, Why do some MBC’ers get a mastectomy ? Even some that are not Oglio’s? Do you think there is a benefit? I know they say there isn’t but I’m seeing those who had it done seem to have longevity. If you had a mastectomy how long have you had MBC? If you have not please share your thoughts and

Burning pain to side of scapular post several breast ops - anyone have this too?
Dear all Hope you are doing as well as can be. I am really struggling with very bad, deep burning in the area of my upper left back, in-between the shoulder blade and my spine and wondered if anyone else has had this issue post surgery/ies? I have a lot of lumps and spasmed areas anyway, all over

Hey Y'all
Just stumbled across this site. I'm a MBC Thriver!! In July 2017 it was confirmed that I in fact had HR+ HER2- BC after years of mammograms and ultrasounds. I always knew it was cancer that was causing my issues. At 39 most OB/GYN play it off as hormone changes. What was the final straw was I lost my

CA 27.29 Blood Testing
Hi All, It's been about 3 years(2020) since I was diagnosed with HER2 + breast cancer. I had undergone a double mastectomy and a full year of chemo. During my twice a year check-ups (every 6 months) I was always given a Cancer Antigen( CA 27.29) blood test, but with this visit this test was not done

Hi ….from a newly dx’d comrade from the UK
I’m 56 and I’ve recently been dx’d with lobular ER+ breast cancer (2cm), go back to see consultant on Monday for MRI results. I have a lumpectomy & sentinel lymph node removal scheduled for the 28th March. Drs Initial plan was for removal, tamoxifen & chemo….but that may have changed since MRI

Starting Xeloda soon
I am a rare case for Johns Hopkins. Dx de novo ER/Pr +, Her2 - almost 8 years ago. Two very tiny liver mets only. Did extremely well and achieved NED status on Ibrance and AI for 6.5 years when we noticed the primary site of cancer in the breast was growing. Switched to Faslodex and Fulvestrant.
