I’ve just read for the first time that TSH is involved in T4 conversion
Barbara Lougheed, the author of Tired Thyroid asserts that
TSH
isn’t useless (her words, not mine) because it triggers T4 to T3 conversion at cellular level.

Some advice before a battle with GP!
Every blood test bar two that I have had over the last 5 years has shown high
TSH
, generally between 6 and 10, and always over the high reference range.

Hello
My
tsh
is 22.9 and I have just started taking levothyroxine. Mostly I am having varying levels of fatigue that seem to be linked to stress or moving too much. Finding it difficult to figure out what amount of activity is right.... as too little also feeds the fatigue.

GP Issues Again With Levo Dose Reduction
They are as usual focusing on her
TSH
bloods thinking because her
TSH
is below zero she’s over medicated and stating it’s dangerous and could cause heart issues. The usual nonsense many here have heard before from their GPs.

I feel bad
I sound like a witch but I'm not I'm just telling it like it is if you are not out of range for T4 and
TSH
they will not treat you for T3. Am I correct or not I just didn't want her waiting around thinking she's going to get what she wants when she didn't get it from the GP or the endo.

Low fT4, but midrange fT3. Feeling cold, brain fog.
TSH
is normal. This test has been repeated some times, and comes back always this way. I read that fT4 low and fT3 midrange could mean to be iodine deficient. Currently, I do not take any Thyroxine, and have not before. Which way should I go?

Results since taking T3
My
TSH
is now quite low, T3 has gone up and T4 slightly shifted up. I would really welcome some feedback as Medichecks suggest I am overmedicated and possibly hyper. I am still very tired and apart from those 4 weeks before Christmas I feel a quite a long way off that 'sweet spot'.

GP wants to lower my Thyroxine dose due to low TSH
It’s been a while since I have had to post anything but yesterday I had a call from my GP as my
TSH
is showing as “low” at 0.19 I tried to explain that this is “normal” for me, although it is slightly lower than my last test.
