Neurological issues/underactive thyroid link?
Hi I've had a mixed year health-wise and overall a few bad years with wrong diagnosis and tests. To explain, I was diagnosed with cerebrovascular disease a year ago following an MRI. I refused to take statins or even aspirin (as I had a bad reaction to it). The neurologists revised this diagnosis to

I'm a Newbie...A little about my journey..& A request for advice!
Hello all, I'm new here and I think I've found my happy place. It's so nice to have a safe place to ask questions, share stories or just to be understood. I just turned 50 (a very young non-menopausal 50 LOL). Here is my story, in kindergarten my teacher said I was a social butterfly, in first (and

Imipramine experience
Guys does anyone have any experience with imipramine? I have to change from ssri to imipramine and would appreciate any suggestions in that regard.

Drug change experience
Hey there, I’ve been experiencing some shortness of breath attacks lately and after checking everything with my doctor, he came to the conclusion that it is an anxiety related issue. I’ve been taking sertraline ever since, but since I couldn’t tolerate the side effects of the drug, my doctor advised

I want to get off of my medications
Throughout my anxiety journey I've been on probably around 20 different psych meds. None of them ever seemed to really help, but they all gave me their own side effects, lol. Xanax helps of course, but I'm very dependent on it now. I've been taking it daily for a few years and I would like to just get

Just completing my homework for my therapist session tomorrow and worries reappeared when having to write about reasons for panic attacks. Thank God for imipramine medication. My third session of CBT. Anyone else on CBT.

When do I insist on seeing the gastric doctors at hospital again.
I wrote in here before about the various medications the GP is prescribing to help with the violent spasms after food getting stuck. I now have domperidone added to the mix of imipramine, amitriptyline pregabalin, ranitidine omeprazole, dapagliflozin, metformin, levothyroxin, and atorvostatin, chlorphenamine

Anxity
Hi I suffer with a panic attack 4 months ago and was told I suffer with social anxity wow even though I feel fine around the public. Tried on SSRI meds which made me more paranoid due to unbearable side effects. Now on imipramine and beta-blockers. How I have suffered with acid reflux from SSRI meds

Antidepressants and stomach ulcers, please help!!
Hi all, I'm in a slightly tricky spot re medication. I was prescribed venlafaxine a few days ago, which is a medication I took a few years ago with no issues, however this time I immediately felt it set off my supposedly dormant stomach ulcer. Like, within half an hour of taking it I was in bloody agony

Meds not helping
Why are the meds I'm taking not helping my pain. I'm on pregablin 600mg and imipramine 40mg. Previously on Duloxetine with the Pregablin but that didn't help. I have rectal neuropathic pain and vaginal.

It's about time!
It's about time I write something to introduce myself! I was diagnosed in the very beginning of 1990. It all started with vertigo, double vision, trouble swallowing, weakness on one side of my body, extreme nausea. I couldn't even stand and, after a couple of days not being able to keep even water down

Hypothyroidism symptoms but 'normal' TSH level. What next?
Can someone with some knowledge/experience give me an idea of whether I’m barking up the wrong tree with hypothyroidism? My case is a little complicated. It answers a lot of my symptoms but I’ve hit a brick wall over diagnosis. I don’t want to push my GP for further tests or pay for private tests if

Ugh I want to go to the hospital but I don't!
Throughout the day I've gotten sicker and sicker, right now I'm so shaky and nauseous, chills but no fever and my anxiety is really high. I went down from 3 mg of Xanax a day to 2 mg and my Imipramine was doubled a week ago. I just feel sick and awful. And I have this weird iron taste in my mouth.

Imipramine and restless leg syndrome
I have been taking imipramine for quite a few years now. It doesn't seem as effective as it did when I first started taking it. Does anyone else take imipramine for Rls? My mum suffers also but she has been prescribed gabapentin.
