Reference ranges
A quick question while you're having your cornflakes ( or fasting for a blood test 😊) if anyone knows the answer: Every day there are posts from people whose TFTs are within the reference range for the lab. And every day there are comments along the lines of 'your TSH / T3 / T4 should be higher [u]

Ferritin Update
update on 2 nd visit to Drs ! I got up at 6 which is extremely difficult for me with this exhaustion ! Was out side the Drs office before they arrived ! Receptionist tried to fob me of with a telephone visit, I insisted on face to face ! I had to wait till 3 pm ! This time I was armed with the NICE recommendations

FDG elements of PSMA scan
I had a FDG scan a few days ago . At the heart of my confusion is the function of FDG in giving a positive outcome to Pluvicto infusions. Is it a good thing to have lots of 'FDG Avid' showing up, or do you want those aspects of the scan to be as hidden as possible (so that the PSMA -Avid cells can be

Swallowing difficulty, have to chew meds.
About a year ago, I began getting my thyroid meds stuck in my throat. All my other meds, vits and minerals, being much larger, seem to go down ok, as they seem to have sufficient "weight" behind them. My magnesium capsule is the size of a suppository 🤣 and I can swallow that without a problem

Do I need to go back on Thyroxine?
Just a heads up folks, this is going to be a long post! I have been off thyroxine for just over a year now, I will attempt to explain in a long winded way how this came about. I was put on thyroxine when I went into menopause which happened before I was 50 (I am now 62). I have always been on 50mg,

Viatris 5mcg liothyronine feedback please from NHS
Hi. Has anyone taken Viatris 5mcg liothyronine T3. Or can you compare with other liothyronine 5mcg brands. My sister has just been prescribed T3 alongside her usual levothyroxine T4 medication privately as her latest T3 results was low (24%) But a huge surprise was that her NHS GP gave her a liothyronine

bloods following bariatric surgery.
very quick question lovely knowledgeable peeps. My daughter had bariatric surgery 2years ago. Done really well with weight loss. However despite taking recommended supplements is suffering hair loss, being cold, ratty tempered, tearful and extremely fatigued. Did Medichecks advanced woman blood test.

Doctor recommendation needed
Hi All, After a year of painful meetings liaising with my NHS endocrinologist, I had enough. She reluctantly prescribed T3 but did not really bother about following up or testing vitamins or overall health. My GP tries but he is clueless on thyroid related issues other than where normal TSH should be

Cortisol test
Result of morning cortisal test was 131 which is rubbish (range 102-535) and explains why I feel exhausted some days. Have been on 3mg for several weeks. Looks like it’s a Synacthen test next. Thanks PMRpro for the info on that. Is the experience ok anyone out there who’s had one?

Hello
Hi there This is my first post so wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I was first diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 6 years ago, and struggled with accepting there was an issue and then with the wealth of conflicting opinions. I couldn’t get why if it is such a common thing why it’s not taken more seriously

advice please
So I live in uk and for a year now my daughter age 14 has had various symptoms which come and go in severity but impact her life when bad. She is under paediatricians who were unconcerned about her low TSH and after discussion with paed with interest in endocrinology they wrote to gp and said no further

Cannot get my TSH in range - help needed please, should I switch to levo?
Hello, I’ve been taking Thyroid-S NDT for 6+years and I’ve been trying to get my TSH to be close to range but cannot seem to get anywhere. I’ve tracked my ranges from 2022 and I’m still no closer. I’m nervous as when medichecks send my results they always say there’s higher risk of heart issues and osteoporosis
