Is this doctor worth keeping...?
I was diagnosed in 2001 based on the following lab results: TSH 18.41 (ref 0.4-4.2) FT4 5.4 pmol/l (9-23) anti-
TPO
6154 UI/mL (<6) anti-thyroglobuline 441 uI/mL (<4) No FT3 tested. In 2012, I was put on NDT after a 24 h urine analysis showed low T3 levels on 200 mcg of Euthyrox daily.

My GI specialist found that I was
TPO
antibody positive and my thyroid levels were off, and I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. I am now on medication for that.

Hypothyroid and low mood?
I've now been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, after having positive antibodies for Hashimoto's ( Anti-
TPO
> 1300 is what my blood test says.) I wasn't placed on any medication, just monitoring thyroid activity at the moment.

Advice when TSH is over range but not reaching the magic number 10
I wish her
TPO
was higher as that would have left no doubt about Hashi’s.

Don’t know whether to be happy or not 🤔
So I had an MRI done last week for another illness and they sent the results to my consultant.. he just called to say that my last
TPO
were 32,000 and judging from the MRI, my thyroid is completely gone “nowt left” is his words so my hopes of eventually coming of eltroxin have been dashed..

Ok so next piece of the puzzle...I don’t have hashis!.....
I have had many many
TPO
and TG abs tests and s have been negative. In 2018 after a number of months of hyper symptoms was diagnosed with Graves’ disease with a positive TSI ab test. This went into remission and I am now hypo again on 100mcg of Levo.

Endo letter regarding t3 assessment
My results (bloods taken that day after my 3pm appointment without fasting and having taken levo and metavive that morning) were as follows: FT4 21.8 TSH 0.31 Free T3 4.9 Anti
TPO
. 13 Random serum cortisol 620 (Nb no ranges have been supplied so I assume standard NHS ones apply?)

Where to buy Thyroid-S?
TPO
178; Tg 16.5. Nutrients (D, B12, folate, ferritin) are all in range. I'm a 47yr old female and have been having declining libido and muscle tone so I've been taking DHEA at 50mg for about 6 weeks. Thinking about slowly adding in pregnenalone too.

Significance of Anti-TPO as an Early Predictive Marker in Thyroid Disease
Further assessment showed that only anti-
TPO
could be used as a standalone marker but not anti-Tg.
