Thyroid peroxidase (TPO)

No TPO mentioned as they were elevated last time eg 1300. I don’t feel I have any obvious symptoms - I think I would know if I did have anything or things were affecting me?!?

since my last tests 6 months prior (17 and 4.3 respectively) and my TPO is increasing too.

Given that I'm negative for both TPO and TRAb, this feels unlikely to be either Graves or Hashimoto's (unless I'm seronegative for both) -- but who knows?

Also, she has autoimmune thyroiditis, having tested positive for TPO & anti-thyroglobulin antibodies. Would it be worth while to do further blood tests, & if so, what?

What could cause a switch from hyper to hypo without tpo or tg antibodies please? Both sets of antibodies have been tested numerous times and are never raised so I’m curious if something else could be going on. Thanks in advance 🙏🏽

The doctors comments suggest that all ok even though TPO elevated.

TPO is another gene on which pathogenic germline mutations can cause hereditary thrombocytosis.

Test results for thyroid: TSH: 1.5 T4: 15.4 T3: 4.43 Anti-TPO: 13.7 Anti-TG: 60.7 All of the above seem to be within the healthy range - albeit slightly on the 35/40% of the 'green' scale provided by Randox. What could be going on?

I test negative for TG and TPO. Vits. are optimal. Presume I have TRAb Blocking AB’s dominating. Where do I go now ? Stay on current dose?, Increase Levo again ? or as I am tempted to do -experiment on reducing Carb to 2.5 and see if that raises my fT3 . Thanks for listening as I mull it over.

I've had these high levels of anti tpo antibodies highlighted in my bloods since 2018. Other levels within normal range. My own research shows me links between ulteceria and hashimotos. I would like to know if I definetly have Hashimotis.

Hi, After my initial blood tests (listed in my previous post) 2 weeks ago showed hypothyroidism and iron deficient anemia my gp ordered some additional tests to establish the cause. TSH 0.01 (0.27-4.2) FT4 21.3 (12-22) FT3 6 (3.1-6.8) TPO down a bit (still higher than at diagnosis) at 232 suggests that if it was a Hashi Flare and not just sudden absorption improvement it might be passing.
