Suffering from GCA or Prednisolone
Six months ago it was mentioned by the consultant I might be a candidate for
tocilizumab
although he wasn't that keen due to side effects. It was deferred for 6 months.

Tocilizumab
I have just had my first
tocilizumab
pen injection. How long did it take to work. I’m in a lot of pain as Enbral stopped working after the switch they introduced. I have been off any sort of treatment since Aug and as result the inflammation has spread to my feet and knees. Thank you

Side effects from biologics
I am on
Tocilizumab
. I have been experiencing the following symptoms for the last few months and I am trying to work out (if possible) what may be causing them. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and have been taking my present medication for approx 1yr. I am 54 yrs female. The drug controls the RA well.

Tocilizumab or Baricitinib?
The two biologics are Baricitinib and
Tocilizumab
. Is there anyone who has had a similar experience and has responded well to Enbrel, had no reaction to Rituximab but success with
Tocilizumab
or Baricitinib? A long shot, but worth a try! Cheers, Elaine x

GCA NICE Recommendations UK Tocilizumab
https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ta518/chapter/1-Recommendations Paste and Go in your URL For Refractory GCA Patients, your country posted these recommendations for Actemra (
Tocilizumab
) for GCA. I am a refractory patient. Do not worry. I will not post again or look at comments.

Eye infections
I've been getting recurrent eye infections since starting
tocilizumab
. The ophthalmologist seems to think that it's more generally related to the RA but I wonder if it's the meds.

Update on previous post but cannot find it 🙄
My consultant is going to start me on
tocilizumab
soon just waiting for appointment. Weird symptoms for a flare and she's still suspicious of tia but hey as she keeps telling me I'm a complex case 🙄.

Pip update and dry eyes, mouth😵
Here's hoping🙄 On another note does any one have any thoughts on this - I am on the biologic
tocilizumab
. In recent weeks I have been getting a very dry mouth, dry throat, dry lips, sometimes sore in the corners of lips, sore in my mouth and tongue, and now hoarseness and stuffy nose.

Advice on RoActemra/tocilizumab infusion
I'm due to have my first
tocilizumab
infusion on Tuesday next week and I've got a few boring logistics questions that the hospital didn't really answer for me: 1. Is it true that I should be able to work or read while being infused or is this overly optimistic? 2. How long does it typically take?

Tocilizumab and rash
For the last nine weeks I’ve been self injecting with
tocilizumab
.....and really pleased with the result. It’s taken time to settle in, but I’m a lot better than I was before I started.

spray on type wound dressing.
My main concern is avoiding infections as I have already had a nasty encounter with sepsis also if I get an infection I will have to withhold the
tocilizumab
which hopefully is containing my GCA and RA.

Introduction
I have TAK and am waiting to start on
Tocilizumab
. I've been taking prednisolone 55mg for 2 months. I was also on methotrexate but since a chest infection took hold, I've come off. The antibiotics are beginning to work but I'm still coughing.

Running out of treatments
The team decided to try me on
Tocilizumab
(TCZ) seeing as its also a b cell depleter. It took them 14 weeks to get organised by then I was in a state so had a depo the day I started the TCZ. After 12 weeks I had flared again so had another depo.

Question about increasing tocilizumab (Actemra) dose schedule
I currently take
tocilizumab
(Actemra) once every 2 weeks. I'm 122 pounds (about 58kg). When I first moved here, the UK rheumatologist was shocked I only took the 162mg dose every other week. He said they do every week here, but that we would continue until I have issues.

Tocilizumab (Actemra) withdrawn - update
Hello all who responded to my last post about the above. I have now been told I can have three more months supply but they cannot tell me if they will continue after that. Feel relieved to have three months!
