Nebulisers
Has anyone used a portable nebuliser that is suitable for use on a long flight, i.e. battery powered.

Symptoms more severe than test are showing.
Morning everyone hope everyone is feeling ok, so this week hasn’t been a very good one for me, i seemed to have yet another copd flare up and ended up going a&e struggling with breathing and very very wheezy and generally feeling unwell, I was given a nebuliser and took away steroids and antibiotics,

Light cases for portable nebuliser?
I just bought a Beurer IH55 portable neb, as my Omron Microair U100 had some problems with the medication container and needs to go back - I was already looking at a back up. (If anyone wants to know, the Omron is faster but so far I find the Beurer easier to use - but only one use with it). The Omron

Home Nebuliser
Before being discharged from hospital following 9 day stay with yet another dose of pneumonia (2nd in 6 weeks) I asked about having a nebuliser to use at home as more relief from that than my spacer and ventolin but was refused for the third time,, although when you first get admitted that’s what they

Bronchiectasis flare up
Hi all I’m 34 and was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis in April 2014. I managed to get things under control using saline nebuliser with an acapella duet attached and didn’t have an infection for almost two years. However I had my son (second child) in January and my chest continued to be ok. Since starting

Nebuliser Mask Allergy
Morning all I seem to be developing some kind of rash on and around my nose and am wondering if it’s from my regular use of a nebuliser for the last few weeks - 2/3 times a day since being hospitalised with SOB through a possible mucus plug. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so how do you

Active breathing and bronchiectasis
Hello all, saw another physio this morning who gave me a really good method to shift mucus from the two bottom lobes: Lie on one side with head on pillow ensuring top arm, lying along body, and shoulders are relaxed (I put my underneath hand on the top ribs to ensure breathing correctly - shout if this

Prescription annoyance
Looking for some help / advice on my repeat prescription as the pharmacy I receive it from are not very helpful. I get me regular repeat monthly but my nebuliser medication has been now added. I have to get this medication weekly, is this common practice and if so why? Thanks Bel

Asthma/Reflux/Shortness of Breath question
Hi, I'm new here. I have been having shortness of breath 3 months ago, and then coming into winter (NZ), started to develop a funny throat/wheeze 2 months ago and was told I had asthma. I've barely had any relief from the medications. I've had a chest xray, lung CT scan with dye, blood tests and everything

GP visit update
Hi all, me again. Well, I went to see my GP this morning after my 2 hospital visits last week. Apparently, the doctor who looked after me in AEC on Saturday has diagnosed me with severe brittle asthma? At least that is what he has put on the discharge report to the GP. So, I guess it's good that I know
