I had to a forum on my love for thyroid uk
One thing I am going to do is call IBSA and ask about the status on
tirosint
coming to the UK through NHS. I can say being on
Tirosint
feels like my regular thyroid production before I had to be on medicine.

Tirosint availability! UK not yet!
The US had
Tirosint
for over 10 years. I hope this gives people an idea of
Tirosint
availability, and I can say the people at IBSA are extremely helpful.

Levothyroxine sodium – Anhydrous vs. Pentahydrate
There is a difference between levothyroxine sodium (anhydrous) and the most common hydrated form, levothyroxine sodium pentahydrate. Five water molecules are attached to the levothyroxine sodium molecule in the pentahydrate; none in the anhydrous.

Levothyroxine dose question
I've been on
Tirosint
75 for 2 years after being diagnosed hypo. Recently started having hyper symptoms; trouble sleeping, weight loss, sweating more. Tested levels, TSH is 1.6 Free T4 is 1.6 (range is .8-1.7). Could the higher free T4 be causing the sleeping issues?

IODINE!!!
There have been a few posts lately about supplements containing iodine. It seems counter-intuitive that iodine can harm thyroid function even though . There are probably hundreds, even thousands, of health supplement manufacturers and suppliers that sell seaweed pills or thyroid "Tonics" containing

Can L-tyrosine replace L-dopa?
I tried it yesterday evening and it would seem that it does so to a small extent. Has anyone tried it?

Need help (confused)
She put me on
tirosint
(88) and cytomel and now, I notice my chestis having what seems like gerd issues but also if I walk or do anything that has a cardio like affect. It's like my chest is feeling it tremendously I can't even explain it. So now I'm confused as which step to take next.

Chest tightness
I'm on 88 of
tirosint
. Lately I feel some things in my chest. If I do any sort of exertion I feel my chest get tighter. It's the feeling you get if you run really hard. Like you can't get enough air. It's scary. Could it be meds or something else?

Basic dopamine question
I'm hoping one ye clever cats can help me understand something. Dopamine is made in the following way: Phenylalanine -> tyrosine -> l-dopa -> dopamine Who is responsible for doing this? Is it the dopamine neuron job or is it just the neuron's job to deliver the dopamine across the brain once it's produced
