Recent post about sinus congestion and BP drugs - I can't find it...
I remember seeing a post which I think mentioned sinus congestion possibly related to drugs used for high blood pressure but now can't find it. My husband has been taking ramipril and amlodipine for several years and for the last 2-3 years has suffered intermittent but significant congestion - feeling

What could be causing tachycardia?
Hi lifesavers, Someone has asked if the tachycardia I have been getting lately may be caused by the 5mcg of Tiromel that I take in the morning. Also I was wondering if I should stop taking the levothyroxine altogether, & either just try to buy some low dose Tiromel or Liothyronine without the T4 in

Amlodipine v. L-Arginine
I take Amlodipine daily, prescribed for my cardiac condition. Amlodipine is a drug which reduces blood-pressure, isn't it? so ought I to avoid taking L-Arginine, as a supplement , which would also have a B-P lowering effect? I would like to overcome my ED without using Blue Pills, you see.

Well tomorrow morning I will finally know whether I had a stent fitted during my last angiography at the beginning of September last year. If I haven't it's going to be a bit of a dilemma as to whether to go for a stent or not as I have been relatively angina free (and when I have had its been relatively

Good morning everyone, I am sure it is a coincidence but I have for the last month had an average BP of 129/75 on Amlodipine 10mg tablets and Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg tablets. ( I measure 3 times a day am , before dinner and before bed) Usually in the Morning it was below 120 /76. Five days ago I

Alternative medicines for Hypertension
I'm having bad side effects with Amlodipine - 10mg. Swollen, feet, legs face and upper abdomen. I've read one of the side effects is a swollen spleen. I've asked my GP to review my meds but have to wait 4 weeks for a telephone consult. Plus most tablets for high BP have side effects. I can't take ramipril

Hypertension 56
I’ve just been prescribed Amlodipine 10 mg a day. First time I’ve ever had any medication in 56 years. Came as a shock! 3 days in and I’ve got headache and slight numbness arms and legs but other wise ok. Any one else had the same experience? Cheers.

Which BP medication should I ask my doc for?
I been through many different BP medications. I started many years ago with Lisinopril, but got the classic cough. Moved to Amlodipine, then Candesartan, then Indapamide, back to Amlodipine, Lercanidipine and now back on Indapamide. Each worked to reduce my BP, but each had side effects I wasn't happy

Prescribed Amlodipine
I have recently been prescribed Amlodipine for high blood pressure , I was told to take it for a month & then make another appointment to see the doctor. I haven’t started taking it yet, I am to be honest, afraid, after reading the leaflet side effects section, example, 1 in 10 have reported palpitations

unstable angina
Hi I have been in and out of hospital since December with unstable angina. I am currently waiting for my 3rd angiogram so they can try drilling the blockage and fit a stent. 100 percent blocked right coronary artery double vessel disease. I am on so many tablets that I feel, like a zombie. Lisinopril
