My last treatment with
Taxol
was 8 weeks ago. I have had bone and joint pain every day of my life since age 37 (now 70) diagnosed as fibromyalgia.

Hair Loss
Hi I had
Taxol
and lost all my hair, all my brows, all my bottom lashes and have a few lashes on top in both eyes, I lost my scalp hair 17 days after the first treatment and then brows and lashes throughout treatment, I am finished about 21 days and I don't have much growing back yet.

Wish I had put a whole lot of money on it!! Still, knew it was coming. Hey ho and here we go - again.
No
taxol
etc for me as it almost killed me last year and now my neuropathy has virtually all disappeared I'm not keen to be paralysed again in a hurry. Fingers crossed my hair stays as about 1% can lose it.

Devastated all over again!
Long story short had 6 rounds of carbo and
taxol
which ended in January this year, made me so much better and my Ca125 went from 6000 to 18 after treatment ended! Was told I had a few shadows remaining on my CT at the end of Jan but inactive and a very good prognosis!

Has anyone experienced Hair Loss with Zejula?
Have already been thru
Taxol
/Carbo after surgery the 1st time, then Gemzar/Carbo after surgery the 2nd time followed with Avastin till my kidneys couldn't take that anymore. So I have already been down that road of wigs & hats, hoping not to go there again.

Husband trying to be supportive
Suzanne was diagnosed stage 3 in March 2013 and has had two recurrences, so three goes at the dreaded
taxol
/carboplatin cocktail. But hey it has worked! Last time round they had to go light on the carboplatin as Suzanne developed an allergic reaction.

Oncology Appointment
Normal oncologist stated that when chemo is started again - it will be
Taxol
and Carbo - as she had such a wonderful response to it first line. I am a bit confused as I though a different drug would be used - definitely a discussion to have with the other oncology team.

Remission (YAY!) and post chemo immune boosters
Taxol
did a number on my joints - mostly knees - and I'm slowly getting out of pain. I can walk a mile now, slowly, but I get there. My goal is to get in the best physical shape I can.

Carboplatin Hypersensitivity
She had her first round of chemo last year- 6 treatments of carboplatin/
taxol
- after a complete hysterectomy. She was in remission for a bit and then it came back in February. Her doctor ordered another round of 6 treatments.

Recurrence happening
I had a nine-hour surgery and six rounds of carbo/
taxol
at the Marsden which finished 12/04/17. I was clear for twelve months. I have now had rising CA125, doubling between January and May. My scan in April didn’t show anything except a possible 4mm nodule that “might be something, or not”.

Guidance (Caelyx & Maintenance)
the remaining 4 only
taxol
and avastin, and thankfully she had her CA125 drop to 5.3 and then up to 12.3 and is now stable.

Neuropathy - how did you deal with it?
Many of us experience neuropathy especially during our first line treatment of carboplatin and
taxol
. I started this thread to collect ideas about how each of you dealt with it - what worked and what didn’t work for you.

Hair stopped falling out !
I'm just slightly worried that the
Taxol
has stopped working properly. Do we ever get to stop worrying ?

A happy note
A 20 pound tumor removed and later a totally unrelated internal bleed emergency surgery, and a severe anaphylaxis shock to literally 2 drops of
Taxol
on my first chemo session made me wonder about my future.

CD fasting mimicking diet whilst on Chemo
At current i am on Carbo-
Taxol
regime and yesterday I have completed 2nd cycle. After reading in depth research I believe becoming a guinea pig and try fasting mimicking diet is a right way to go for me. At least i can say i have tried majority of the options available. And oh boy!
