Nilotinib (Tasigna) Warning related to QT Wave and Sudden Deaths
I realize the Phase 2 CT for Nilotinib has gotten some very positive reviews on this forum, but just be aware of some of the serious downside with this drug. My first point should be obvious to anyone who has thoroughly read the results of the CT conference presentation or you can scroll down the comments

I’m new to communicating about my PD to others including other PD patients.
So my question is there anyone using
Tasigna
with similar doses that are being used in the current clinical trials having any luck slowing or halting progression.

PSP drug update.
I came away feeling that there may be a infusion form of drug that they said wouldn't be a cure, but might do what
Tasigna
does.

Tasigna (nilotinib) and clinical trials
The drug
Tasigna
(generic name nilotinib) is licensed for the treatment of leukaemia (blood cancer). Some cancer patients taking
Tasigna
have experienced extremely serious side effects and anyone taking it should be carefully monitored.

A Neurologist is Asking YOUR Help to do a Study On a DRUG that Extends the QUALITY Of LIFE and CAN Restore LOST FUNCTIONS to Those With PSP
You need to understand that
Tasigna
is not a cure, and my wife isn’t the only patient of Dr. Samanta who he prescribed
Tasigna
for. To date every PSP patient who has taken the drug has done better. A lot has to do with the stage the PSP patient is in.

Nilotinib/Tasigna revisited for treatment of Ataxias.
5 months ago a poster from Korea came on here and mentioned this drug. At the time I did not realize the drug had been tested for patients with Parkinson's so it crossed my radar and I moved on, but today as part of my review of drugs currently in the pipeline I came back and what I found is very impressive

Another SCA1 cure being studied too slowly. PKA inhibitors.
patents.google.com/patent/US9259432B1/en - In the end though, this only makes me further infuriated at researchers and drug companies because here you have a line of research that has the potential to be a true cure, and what's more there are many other Protein Kinase Inhibitors ALREADY on the market like,

Interest in Nilotinib (Tasigna by Novartis)
I plan to start taking
Tasigna
next week. If there are others who are currently taking this drug or considering doing so (for Parkinson's), I would appreciate very much hearing from you. frank.mundo@gmail.com.

I am new to this site and the above drug also marketed as
Tasigna
, has probably already been discussed here in some detail and I apologize if this is repetitive. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's some 11 years ago and at that time my neurologist put me on 3 levadopa per day and 1 azilect at night.

An interesting read on Botox Therapy from CurePSP. For those of you not on Facebook.
However, further ‘controlled’ studies will be performed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of
Tasigna
/Nilotinib in both Parkinson’s disease and PSP.
