Tasigna (Nilotinib) as a treatment/cure for FA?
Hello dear, I read that a few years ago there was conducted a medical study regarding
Tasigna
nilotinib and hereditary ataxia. I have heard many positive experiences from people with hereditary ataxia who have used the medication. I myself have Friedreich ataxia.

This is a follow-up question to my earlier post of a couple of days ago concerning HBOT as adjunctive therapy for parkinson's disease.
I'm withholding one very important positive experience I had while on
TASIGNA
. It is the main reason why I want to be on
TASIGNA
. I can't believe this could be a placebo effect.

Why not give Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as Adjunctive Therapy a Try?
TASIGNA
has a history of sudden death due to a condition called QT PROLONGATION. The manufacturer Novartis failed to promptly disclose this. The FDA forced Novartis to put a BLACK BOX WARNING on all containers of
TASIGNA
sold in the USA!

Tasigna off label for parkinson's disease. What happens when the smallest kid on the block gets run out of town. Time for a vote.
Before
TASIGNA
there were times when I couldn't last 3 hours till my next dose. There were many times when I could skip my levodopa - I DIDN'T NEED IT!!! While on
TASIGNA
, I once went 15 hours between doses!! 5. When I started on
TASIGNA
, my dose was 300 mg levodopa every three hours.

Would hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) along with Tasigna therapy be worth a look?
If a vascular disconnection is responsible for Parkinson's disease why wouldn't HBOT be considered. Its plentiful and inexpensive. There are some great ideas in the trials pipeline. There's a high probability of more failures. It may be impossible to hit a Home Run. Maybe we need to hit a single or

Nilotinib/Tasigna
Some people mentioned using the Nilotinib/
Tasigna
off label. Can anyone help me figure out how and where to get it cheap and safe. I like to try it. I heard it’s helpful for SCA patients. You can pm if you want to stay anonymous. Please help.

Nilotinib/Tasigna for SCA 1,2,3,6,7, and 17 patients with low to no symptoms.
In that email he said that he and the patients like him had had no progression for the time they have been taking
Tasigna
. Let's hope the results are published sooner rather than later, and the email I got was true.

Did the Georgetown University Plan Stand a Chance?
You will need medical testing before you go on
Tasigna
and periodically as long as stay on it.
TASIGNA
is very expensive, $13,000 per month.
TASIGNA
has very tight dosing requirements it must be taken on an empty stomach. So why did I return to
TASIGNA
a second time? I had very good results.

Next time you feel sorry for Big Pharma
Cost of Nilotinib at Costco with a GoodRx coupon 4 dose packs (28 capsules) of
Tasigna
150mg the coupon price of $13,624.19 If there were 28 days in a month, $13, 624.19 X 12 a one-year supply at 150 mg/day would cost $163,490.28 in the US If a PWP (such as myself) had a compounding pharmacy

I’ve been taking tasigna for 11 months
I've been taking
tasigna
for 11 months and the best thing about it is that I speak clearly, and my muscle consumption has been reduced and my gaps with stamina have been decreasing.

Request update on Nilotinib effectiveness in slowing progression of PD
In 2017, someone posted positive results through off-lable use of
Tasigna
as a means of stopping PD. Request update.
