Guess What!!!!!
The GP has reduced my T3 by 10mcg and replace with 25mcg T4 (levothyroxine) !!!!! (I'm stunned). As the majority on this forum are aware I've had no problems with T3 but I think this GP must believe that a combination of T4/T3 is superior.

should T3 make you feel worse?
good morning all, further to my post last week, I commenced T3 2.5. at the start of this week following 5 days reducing my levo from 100 to 87.5( as my T4 was at the very top of the range). I am taking the T3 together with my levo first thing in the morning. My question is how should I feel? I felt ok

Body feels on edge
I can only describe this as an inner unease, it’s physical and it is accompanied by a hissing in my ear, sometimes this eases and I can feel my body is more at rest but it can rave up before a headache. I feel it is my body looking for something/lacking - could this be my low thyroid hormones/T3?

NDT to T3 & T4 - brands, and how to transition?
I'm wondering how to make the transition from NDT to T3 & T4, specifically how slowly is it best to go and which brands of T3 & T4 are most widely accepted/least likely to cause reactions? I'm assuming I would translate my current dose of 1.75 grain NDT into the equivalent T3 & T4 and start on that?

What could cause such dramatic weight gain
I have currently been on .1 mg Synthroid and 5 mcg Cytomel for three months, and while the blue lips, freezing cold and fatigue are gone, my legs are super swollen and hard, my "weight" is up 20 pounds in two months (unexplained by diet / lifestyle). Nutrients of importance are almost optimal and still

Not at the patients demand!
I have to share this anecdote. It makes me laugh, cry and despair in equal measure. After 8 crappy years with thyroid symptoms getting worse I put myself on T3 in November. On day 5 I woke up and said the words "I feel better" before my conscious had even engaged my brain. 4/5 months later I can sit

Intermittent fasting affecting thyroid values
For the last few months (around 4), I’ve been doing intermittent fasting, because I’ve read about the benefits of taking a break from eating. I eat for about 8 hours and fast for around 16 hours. My latest thyroid test results have shown a slight decrease in both FT4 and FT3. I’ve read somewhere that

T3 medication lowering FT4 - causing worsening of symptoms
When taking T3 medication (plus T4) it drops your FT4. Has anyone found that this drop in FT4 made them feel worse ie feeling more depressed and fatigue/energy even worse (or have you read about this happening to anyone)? Did you have to increase your T4 medication to get your FT4 up higher in the

How often to increase t3
I started on 6.25 mcg of t3 and increased by 6.25 every 5-7 days. I've been on 31.25 mcg for 2 weeks now and feel exactly the same= dreadful. Shall I keep increasing or wait? I'm also taking 50 mcg of t4. I'm monitoring and taking iron, b12 and vitamin d. I was also taking selenium but stopped now.

Going from NDT to T3 - advice please
Hi from a chilly England. I have been paying privately for NDT (2.5 grains daily) for some time now. For the briefest moment I was prescribed Armour NDT but the regulators prevented my GP from continuing this so as all they would offer me was T4, I paid privately for NDT for a decade. My finances have

is a low heart rate cause to be concerned?
Hi all, I’m on 100mcg Levo and 20mcg compounded IR T3 split through out the day and my resting heart rate is 50bpm. it used to be 55bpm and I’m not sure why it’s dropped. Is this a reason for concern or indication of undermedicated ? I’ve attached my results from end of January where I posted on

Advice again please
My TSH has risen to 2.2 from 0.79 only 5 weeks again (they do not
test
T3 or
T4
in A & E unless abnormal TSH. Other tests were normal like liver, kidney and ESR which were tested due to recent infection.

Wild Variations in Body Temperature
Since I started T3/T4 combination therapy last summer I have been tracking my BP, heart rate and body temperature (orally). I am currently on T3 only and my body temperature fluctuates massively. For example yesterday; 0725: 35.5 0816: 35.4 0927: 35.5 1041: 35.3 1508: 35.3 1602: 35.8 1831: 35.9
