Retrospective insights - Hypothyroidism
Update: I had previously posted about being under-medicated with
Synthroid
because my doctor saw I had high levels of T4. What he didn’t know is that I’m a poor converter of T4 to T3. Both my TSH and my T3 were in range and at the bottom end of optimal.

TSH of 70
Does anyone else have cardiac arrhythmias and are on
Synthroid
/ Levothyroxine? Or even those who don’t have cardiac issues but now deal with them due to the medication?

Hyper and gaining weight?
Hi everyone, I’ve had Hashimotos for 30 years and I can never manage to stay balanced on my
synthroid
for very long. This last time I was suddenly hypo (6) and then with adjusted meds three months later I was hyper(.25) Been hyper for a year but gaining weight like crazy .

Adding NDT and dropping Cytomel
This is what he’s proposing :
Synthroid
100 + 30mg NDT. Is equivalent to my present dose, or is it a decrease. He’s TSH obsessed, here are my recent labs: tsh: 0.02 (0.32-4.0), FT4: 12 (9-19), Ft3: 4.3 (2.6-5.8). I would really like to take less
Synthroid
and more NDT.

Synthroid and NDT
Is anyone taking
Synthroid
and NDT? What's your dose? Now that I am taking 25mcg of T3 and 60mg of NDT I will be reducing my T3 and adding
Synthroid
. He told me to take 100 of
Synthroid
and test in 7 weeks but I know that's too much to add all at once by reading here all the time.

Hashimoto thyroid
I recently changed to
Synthroid
and cytomel but still having a rash. Has anyone experienced this? Had a allergy test done which showed allergy to cows milk. How odd because rash appears before I have my evening milk! Could a weekly 50,000 iu dose of vitamin d be causing this? Thanks

Thyroid issue with Levothyroxine and Synthroid.(new here)
Levothyroxine to
Synthroid
decision was based on a note I received with the medication. however the
Synthroid
takes more than a week to see results. so the
Synthroid
was not the cause of removing my issues. I assume my issues disappeared due to lack of taking the levothyroxine.

Please help me. I have nowhere to turn and I need help.
I was started out on 150 of
Synthroid
and for 6 months was in a state of pure hell. Then switched to levothyroxine and made me worse. Constant pain And vision problems, shaking, feeling cold and buzzing in my ears.

New test results. Next step?
I been on 175 mcg of
synthroid
for 3 months. Before this I was on 150 mcg of
synthroid
and was still feeling hypo. Tsh was high though I’m a very good t4 to t3 converter.

How to switch from day to night?
What’s the correct way to switch from taking my
synthroid
at 6am to start taking it at night? Let’s say I took the pill today at 6am, do I take it again at night and start today or do I have to wait till tomorrow and skip the usual time at 6am and start taking it at night?

Shaky, weak, headaches
I was on
synthroid
for only a couple of weeks, and retested at 4.8 TSH, then was stopped by the doctors and since have been put on lexapro. From what I've been reading here, I should not have stopped but continued for a few more weeks.

Received new results today, looking for advice
I’m presently taking 100mcg
Synthroid
, 10 mcg Cytomel. I’m thinking of reducing Cytomel to 7.5 and keeping
synthroid
as is. All vitamins are optimal. I’m feeling good, but blood pressure is up, irritable, having occasional headaches, itchy nose and face. Or should I decrease to 5mcg.

Eltroxin or Synthroid
My gp will not prescribe in the meantime, and I will have to buy some online without prescription- I see Eltroxine or
Synthroid
- does anyone have experience of these? I’m taking Wockhardt just now. Thank you!

Purpose of T4?
I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with Armour and considering either lowering the dose and adding some
Synthroid
- or stopping the Armour and trying just
Synthroid
.
