Covid and Decreased eGFR
I plan to go for thyroid tests soon to prove to myself that
Synthroid
(T-4) is not the correct med for me. I told the dr. that my previous test showed I was not converting T4 to T3 but she refuses to give me T3. because the Endocrinology team does not "believe" it is a good med for anyone.

Labs fluctuating so much. Confusing.
Dr was concerned with my low Ft4, so upped the
Synthroid
to 75mcg. Liothyronine stayed at 12.5. At the end of July I had more labs and came back high, but I did take the meds that morning with a late afternoon blood draw.

When Might It Get Better?
I recently asked to be switched from 100 mg of Levo to
Synthroid
. The Endo increased my dose to 112 mg because my thyroid antigens are stil through the roof. Also, they have detected a mass in my right breast, Any thoughts/advice is always most welcome. Sincerely, Audra

Switch from NP Thyroid to Armour?
I take 3/4 of a grain of Armour in tandem with 37.5 mcgs of
Synthroid
. Otherwise my T4 stays too low on Armour alone and raising the Armour above a certain dose results in too much T3 for me and causes a return of of significant hyperthyroid symptoms.

Underdosed with Armour
Added 37 mcg of
Synthroid
to the Armour, which helped a lot. Stayed happily on Armour until their reformulation, then Naturethroid until that went south. On NP for a year and a half after that until their recalls and finally landed back on the reformulated Armour plus

Synthroid dosage
I have a question about
synthroid
. I had my thyroid removed last September due to large nodules. It was discovered that I had micro papillary carcinoma. Very small cancers. This is my question. I am at my current and supposedly proper dose of 150 mcg.

Thyroid blood test question
Since it was a little more than 24 hours after my last dose of
Synthroid
(by 15 minutes) will this delay impact the accuracy of my thyroid blood test results and cause numbers to be artificially inflated or deflated? Thanks!

Experience with NDT? Are the Pigs Treated Well? Might Any One Know if The Pigs are Slaughtered Solely for their Thyroids?
We switched from Levothyroxine to
Synthroid
. I feel worse. I have pain in my throat and sinuses which scares me. Brain fog. Depression. I want to also thank everybody here for the wealth of data and information. This forum has been my only support, my literal "lifeline". My Endo suggested NDT.

Cytomel with Synthroid
The most recent has told me it doesn’t last long in the body and wants me to take only
Synthroid
. As well, the practitioner told me I could take
Synthroid
2 hours after sleeping and take it with another medication. I have doubts about this advice.

My Endocriniologist wants to start me on 5mcg per day T3 with my

Free t4 and menopause
I ask because I’m 44 and my free t4 has inched up the last couple of years even though I’ve actually lowered my
synthroid
a bit. Tsh and free t3 are mostly the same, but my FT3/FT4 ratio is getting lower and lower and I think causing symptoms.

Tsh close to zero but t3 and t4 normal on meds?
She also lowered my
synthroid
. I went from about 100mcg
synthroid
daily to 85 mcg
synthroid
and 10mcg t3 (split into two doses of 5). Finally have more energy and less shortness of breath when exercising.

Dividing doses before blood work.
I take
Synthroid
62.5 + NDT 75, I’m looking for advice as to how to divide my doses the day before my labs. I take the full dose of both every morning at 7-8 am. Thanks to all who have helped me in this horrible journey!!
