Does free t4 rise naturally during peri menopause? Just as it naturally lowers during pregnancy.
I ask because I’m 44 and my free t4 has inched up the last couple of years even though I’ve actually lowered my synthroid a bit. Tsh and free t3 are mostly the same, but my FT3/FT4 ratio is getting lower and lower and I think causing symptoms.
Am I onto something here, or is my conversion just down for some reason?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. And yes, I’m on a combo. It’s just weird because I’ve never been able to move my freet4 past midrange and now it is and I’m not adding more t4???? And free t3 isn’t lower either.
Do you know why conversion slows around menopause?
