Cough just won't go away.
My inhaler is 200/6
Symbicort
and I normally take 1puff twice a day but actually taking 2 puffs 3 to 4 times a day. Had a time off work too before and after Christmas and New year. Just want to feel well again and lose this cough. Going back to GP tomorrow as had enough now.

Time between inhalations
I take
Symbicort
as one of my inhalers for example, which doesn't have a pressurised canister, so could I take two one after the other? Or, could I take (say) Ventolin, then
Symbicort
while the Ventolin recharges, or would that put pressure on my lungs?

Any ideas of picking up earlier warning signs of an attack
After the first respiratory arrest 3 years ago I ended up in hdu then I had follow up appointments at the hospital changed to inhalers were made by upping my
symbicort
to the 200 not 100 added in montelukast also we put an action plan together we did loads of breathing tests etc to make sure I had technique

Medicines for children with persistent coughing
Hi, my 7yo daughter is on montelukast daily and either clenil modulite or
symbicort
turbohaler twice daily too (different gps given different meds). Ventolin too. She has no symptoms most of the year then 2-3x a year has persistent coughing, struggles for breath, crackles and slight wheeze.

Anybody else in this situation?
So far I’ve been under hospital care for the last 18 months with me now taking what feels like an army of inhalers/tablets a day (
symbicort
, bricanyl, spiriva, Alcon and montelukast).

Hello, newbie here
Had inhaler changed from
Symbicort
to Fostair, which is easier to use, but still using Ventolin multiple times per day. Dreading going back to work tomorrow as not easy to whip my inhaler & spacer out to use. Sorry for the long post, but thanks for reading. Wishing everyone a healthier 2018.

Hopeful new born for me
post said, I am a Beijinger, male, 36 years old, and started to have tight chest and short of breath since 2010, and I have been treated as asthma because the provocation test(hope I am spelling right) is positive, and the FEV1/FVC is 65% with no reversible with ventolin, I have been put on

Inhaler advice asthma flare ups too often needing oral steroids
Was using
symbicort
once in morning and eve which worked quiet well for a while. Then getting flare ups though upping its use which required short doses of oral steroids 2-3 times a year. Have had 3 kids since and finished family, was thrilled with opportunity to review asthma plan.

Symbicort shaking
When ever I take my red inhaler (
symbicort
) my body, especially my hands and legs, start to shake for hours after. I have been prescribed to take the inhaler twice at day, morning and night, but it makes me shake all day. It also seems to make my breathing worse.

I'm looking for preventative advice to minimise asthma related problems and infections.... can you help?
Just for info my current regular medication is 400mg
Symbicort
(2 × 2 puffs a day) and Ventolin (2 x 2 puffs daily) and more when required), and have rescue steroids (which I am on at the moment).

I am using
symbicort
dry spray irregularly as I don't feel out of breath in day to day life. I am 64years old, healthy Indian male from Punjab but living in New Zealand for the past 20 years. My peak flow is 360. Is it OK or not?

May not be asthmatic but need advice!
Cough didn't really abate so was stepped up over next few months to reach
Symbicort
. Within 3 weeks of starting on this noticed huge improvement in my fitness, no longer got short of breath when running or at swim training, etc. Cough persisted in morning and night but that was it.

I went onto beclazone whit the other active ingredient in
symbicort
and it worked like a dream. Only go to
symbicort
/budesonide when you must. Please be carefully and know ALL the side effects. Pharmacy staff don't always know the whole facts.
