Vitamin K2
I take methotrexate,
steroids
and other meds so I don’t want the strongest K2 but one I can absorb without a problem. I have been on risedronate for two years but dexa scan had not improved. I try and walk a little and have stairs in house. Thank you. J

Diet and arthritis
I have now successfully tapered off my
steroids
and I am feeling much better and more like my old self. I am not eating wheat or pork. You don't have to buy the book, though it is an interesting read.

State of the NHS
Within two hours I got a text saying they were prescribing
steroids
and I could pick them up at the chemist next door to the surgery later that afternoon. Btw I have an emergency pack of
steroids
for my asthma.

Inflammatory reaction to sugar and carbohydrate ?
That was before I was diagnosed and given
steroids
. I’ve now tried coming off
steroids
for about 3 weeks and I’m finding that sugar and carbohydrate can make me feel fluey after about 20 minutes. Food like marmalade on brown toast, maybe a little too much honey on yoghurt.

anti NMDA encephalitis
He had the
steroids
, the plasma exchange but it was the Rituximab that finally got it sorted. I’m just looking to connect with anyone that has suffered with it or their families?! We don’t have a big support network and appointments with professionals, surprisingly, seem so few and far between.

Should I decrease my dose ?
I have had no return of symptoms and know I will be on
steroids
for a some years (GP has been very firm on that) . My query is .....is it too early to go to 12 mg ? I'm just wary of a return to symptoms. Thanks for all advice on this site.

Not believed
I felt awful over Xmas and my rheumatologist put me on
steroids
. I then got pneumonia again and was on 2 more weeks of
steroids
. When I come off
steroids
all my symptoms flare and my hand swelled up again. The GP then put me on more
steroids
.

stopped Pred but pain & stiffness came in knees. GP says it isn’t PMR
Wants me off
steroids
sharpish. What do others think? Is knee and hand pain usual in PMR?

Well, I'm flabbergasted!
His advice is to slowly reduce the Pred. and that the pain I have constantly is probably caused by the
steroids
. I am really hoping he is right! Any feedback from you would be welcome!

Could the
steroids
be a contributing factor? Also is this something I should bring to my rheumatology teams notice? Thank you 😊 Mel

Metaxalone.
I was diagnosed with PMR September 2023 but I'm unable to have
steroids
. Due to a heart condition I'm also unable to have Immuno suppresants. My Rheumy has now prescribed Metaxalone for pain relief.
