scalp tenderness

I reduced my pred from 4mg to 3mg on 26th December. I am suffering from scalp tenderness and slight pain at the bottom of my skull. It does seem to ease slightly after taking 10mg amitriptyline.

I have not received my next appointment with rheumatologist. Just wondering if I need to speak to my GP to see if I need to increase steroids.

Thanks

In hindsight I wouldn’t have reduced on Boxing Day nor by 1mg.

Would have left it well after new year and reduced by 0.5mg and probably using slower taper.

Plus I’d try going back to previous dose and see if that helps -if not then you may need to treat as a flare. Usual advice contain here -
