Now I'm back to the neck and both girdle pain that I had back in October last year - I am more certain than ever that it is PMR while the GP and Rheumy fanny about with their fibromyalgia label and do their best to deny me
steroids
which I know from my Cyprus adventure last Autumn relieve the pain.

Further Advice on raised CRP Levels and tight leg muscles
I don’t want to yo yo or keep flaring but the
steroids
weaken muscles so increasing them doesn’t help the musculoskeletal problems. I have another blood test booked in 3 weeks.

Help with "sick day rules"
I take my
steroids
in the mornings. 1. How much extra should I take and for how long? 2. Add to morning dose or take before bed? Thanks in advance.

I have the appointment on Thursday and am really worried in case they won’t give me
steroids
and another holiday will be ruined because of my plodding walking and aching body. Has anyone else been given
steroids
when they’ve had a negative blood test??

Tapering - have I got it wrong?
At 9mg, I was diagnosed with glaucoma and started on eyedrops, which having been borderline for a while seemed almost a foregone conclusion with

I'm on Benepali injections and feel like I've been given a new lease of life, my problem is

I still take 5mg every day and have done for the past 6yrs. My rheumatologist tried to get me reduce the dose but I honestly cannot.

Dear Friends This is Mom asking
The MS doctor started to proceed to put him on an agressive
steroids
- he is responding well and is reporting the right side of his body is returning back to normal for now. My ask: how do you know you have MS? When a doctor cannot depict the root cause? The symptons may be different?

How long can a asthma episode last?
She had 10 days of
steroids
and 10 days of antibiotics for a chest infection. As you can imagine she is shacking. We have been to the doctors twice, oxygen level been good at 97. I mentioned if they just gave her a NEB the wheeze would go but as we all know they don’t give NEBS anymore 🙄

CCR6 & CCL20 are the key drivers in prostate tumor microenvironment.
I find this interesting on using arthritis drugs injected into tumor during immunotherapy instead of
steroids

Nervous changing from Prednisolone to Hydrocortisone
Adrenal gland isn’t working so I doubt if I can get off
steroids
entirely anytime soon. Anyway spoke to my Endocrinologist the other day and we discussed trying Hydrocortisone as an alternative to see if I felt any better in my general well, health which isn’t great.

MART (maintenance as reliever therapy)
on the montelukast as there’s a slight risk of making it worse in that department and we’re not big fans of doing that but in theory we might have to if that makes sense as when I was on it it did benefit me and I had less flare ups but this has been my worse one in awhile and the last time I was on

Asthma Appointment
The worrying thing for me was that she told me I'm taking
steroids
too often and that I could develop diabetes and is refusing to prescribe me another rescue pack.

Fracture Risk
***Moderator addition: please keep in mind as you read this thread and the replies that while inhaled
steroids
can have some side effects, not everyone will be affected, and
untreated or poorly controlled asthma is also very harmful and can be fatal.
