T3 equivalent of NDT
Hello A very clever person on here worked out the likely mcg of T3 & T4, contained in 3.5 grains of NDT from Thailand. Unfortunately I've mislaid the post. I'm seeing my endo on Wednesday and I want to understand why he put me on such low doses of Synthetic T3 & T4 for eight weeks. The new blood tests

sudden drop in tsh
I had bloods done last week and expected them to be the same as the last bloods I had done because I feel no different, but my tsh has gone from 2.39 to 0.75 in 3 months with no changes to my levothyroxine, I only take 25mcg Im just so confused about how it’s dropped so much, to the point where I feel

My DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) opinions and experiences
Last falI had been incredibly impressed by the moderator of the DBS Facebook page in his responses, and I thought If I can be as well-spoken as he is 25 years after I’ve had DBS like he is, so I decided to proceed with the surgery. The surgery did not go well. The surgeon nicked an artery in my brain

Struggling introducing T3
Hi all, I knew I’d be back before too long as I’m totally useless when it comes to introducing T3! Bit annoying as I obviously need it. Here are my results when I was on 87.5mcg Levo daily with no T3. TSH 0.007 (0.27-4.2) Free T3 4.1 (3.1-6.8) Free thyroxine 23.1 (12-22) Over the last couple

Adaptive DBS - non technical article
There was a post to the technical paper in Nature Medicine a few weeks ago about an innovation to traditional DBS. Adaptive DBS involves putting in brain sensors to automatically increase or reduce the amount of stimulation. Medscape had an optimistic review of the technology here: https://www.medscape.com

Help with test results including vitamins
I have just had test results from Blue Horizon including vitamins. I take 75 Levothyroxine and 10 t3 self sourced. Levo reduced by doctor due to suppressed TSH I persuaded her not to reduce again which she wanted to do by taking in last blood results with t4 and t3. I always felt well on 100 Levo and

When to take Lio before blood test?
Hiya, sorry I have not posted for a while. It is a familiar story alas: hypo symptoms on Levo alone became very bad, eventually got referral to endo, started Liothyronine (T3) trial in Oct 2021, worked great, hypo symptoms improved rapidly. But now TSH is below range and my endo wants to reduce Lio

my name is Jude and I was diagnosed with PD about 16 years ago. 18 months ago I had DBS and the result was amazing. I had diskynesia badly enough for friends to say that I made them feel Seasick! Well, I woke from the anesthetic cured of it. It felt great to be still. The downside was a loss of

Hoping for advice
I have a blood test at 9 am today and took my tablet at 5.45 am by mistake. If I refrain from breakfast, will this at least help or is there no point now and should I eat as normal? Also, what will it affect, the TSH, T3 or T4 or all of them? My GP doesn’t normally test like this (he added it on

Postpartum thyroiditis?
Hi everyone, Just a bit of a random one. So I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in Dec 2023 (7 months postpartum). It was a bit of a shock tbh. I since found out about Postpartum thyroiditis and wondered if my diagnosis was related to that and would somehow sort itself out in a year - 18 months? I'm

Hypo with Hyper results!
Hi All and good to meet you. Had a thyroidectomy in 2022. Just had a blood test with TSH - 0.2 miU/l FT4 24.5 pmol/L On levothyroxine 125mg for 4 days and 100mg for 3 days. Any idea why this looks like hyperthyroid? Thanks for any advice.

DBS and it's benefits
My neurologist has recommended for DBS . As per the data ,I am informed that the success rate is 90%.Here also the neurologists are divided in two. Few says that medicine will continue even after DBS while other say no. I would request those who have been operated for DBS to share their actual experience

results comparison - question around conversion…
hi there I have posted a few times in the past - more recently about my private dr suggesting T3 medication route. After getting advice on her I decided not to pursue that at this time and instead titrate my T4 / Levo up a step (from 50mcg to 75mcg daily) - have just done blood test after 8 weeks

Recent medichecks results
Wow! Did medichecks test and for the first time in all the time I’ve been testing my TGAb were in normal range (110 with range under 115). TPOAb within range as usual. TSH is still suppressed (no surprise) CRP is .983 despite me having been a bit under the weather recently and recovering from a broken

Results after 14 weeks on Armour
Hello, so I've been on Armour for 14 weeks now and these are my current bloods: TSH - 0.007 T4 - 13.7 (12-22) T3 - 6.3 (3.3 - 6.8) My doctor (private specialist) said ideal bloods on Armour would be T4 12-14 and T3 5.5-6.5, and TSH would be suppressed. So going by that, it seems my bloods are pretty

Giving levo another go...
Hi thyroid community, I have been diagnosed with 'sub clinical' hypothyroidism (due to autoimmune condition) in the last few years and my life has been shit ever since as I'm sure many can relate. I didn't get on very well with levothyroxine during my first trial, but I decided to persist giving it
