Can I give a little hope?
My partner was diagnosed with alcohol-related decompensated cirrhosis in October 2017 after having been rushed to A&E, vomiting blood and not being able to breathe due to severe ascites. The emergency doctor was so concerned about his prognosis that she asked that I contact his daughters to come to

Liver Cirrhosis
My Wife as just been diagnosed with Cirrhosis at 56 years of age and I am trying to understand which natural diet would best help her, she used to drink quite a lot but said she will never drink again which is positive, I am doing a lot of research and does anyone know if stem cell therapy would be worth

PCOS and depression
Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago, and have since had a diagnosis of depression. I receive treatment for my depression, and I've previously had Metformin and spironolactone, neither of which helped me. The specialist has said there's nothing else they can do for me, and have discharged me

Decreasing GFR
Hi all, new here but wanted to ask a question. I am 48 I have stage 3 congestive heart failure and I take 80mg of Lasix a day plus 25 mg of spironolactone. These are both diuretics. My blood work showed that my GFR has dropped 20 points in less than 2 months. I was at 104 now less then 2 months later

Anything I can do at home to reduce hair?
So I've been going untreated for a while now, since November. The gynes I saw over the summer prescribed Microgynon which is hands down the worst pill ever for PCOS so I refuse to take it because I went suicidal for *no reason* after ten days, and it's been known to make hirsutism happen in normal females

Ascites .
My husband has decompensated cirrhosis with ascites which has caused major fluid retention. He has had it drained on a regular basis and tried diuretics which then caused kidney problems! He just had spironolactone increased to 100mgs., but still can't get fluid under control. Has anyone else experienced

Ablation follow up appointment !!!
Today was my post ablation follow up appointment. ( Feb 28th) Obviously still in NSR as I definitely know when I’m in af. Now we’re going to have a go without the Dronedarone fingers crossed 🤞. I questioned all the other drugs that I’m on as sometimes I feel like no one takes the time to re-evaluate

Spironolactone
Does anyone have experience of taking Spironolactone? I've been on Furosemide 2 x 40 mg for ages but it's started giving me very painful episodes of gout, the last one in my hand, which interfered with everything, in addition to being excruciating. I'm 4 days in to 2 x 50 of Spironolactone instead but
