Newbie!
I've Just picked up my new
Spiriva
inhaler and Ventolin to go with the Symbicort I already take for asthma and after reading posts on this wonderful site I'm on a diet to try and lose a few pounds and I'm plucking up the courage to join the gym next week as I need to get (and hopefully stay) active!

Any ideas?
She wants to try me on Sebring breezehaler instead of
spiriva
. Has anyone else tried this inhaler? I believe it is new on the market. I have looked at old posts and some people seem to be on fostair instead of serevent - any good? Also is symbicort and advair worth trying?

Which puffer works best with least side effects for 90 yr old with moderate COPD ?
My Dr. just gave me
Spiriva
and I am scared to use it after I read all that stuff~ I know I sound like a whimp, but when it comes to my wonderful Mother, whom medicine is a new experience it is scarry.

I was diagnosed with moderate emphysema (57) and I am 68 year old. I was told by the Pulmonologist to exercise 30 minutes a day,
eat healthy, take
Spiriva
daily and use albuterol as needed. Do any of you use
Spiriva
? How do I know if I'm having an exacerbation?

Still Welcome?
He did say that the treatment was pretty much the same (I take Symbicort/
Spiriva
/Phylocontin and sometimes Pred) and as far as most people are concerned it IS asthma (he said he needed to label my condition as asthma so I get the right treatment).

Anybody out there using INDACATEROL ? How are you doing on it ?
I still take my
Spiriva
once a day. I was against using the seretide because of the steroids, but my Oxygen has dropped to 88 resting over the last 2 months, so I thought I might give it a try.

Hi there, I have just been prescribed Spiriva 18 mg by my GP. I wondered if anyone uses/has used this for bronchiectasis and if so,
if it helped with breathlessness? Any common unpleasant side-effects I should know about? I have had bronchiectasis for a few years (and other chronic illnesses) and recently, for the first time, I have been very breathless, especially in the mornings, and despite exercises, I cannot seem to clear

Stinging muscles
I take ventolin,
spiriva
and seretide. Could it be the inhalers or perhaps lack of oxygen?

Should you take Spiriva on the morning of Spirometry test in the afternoon?
I'm on
Spiriva
. Should I take it on Tuesday morning or not? I can't ring the surgery tomorrow as I've got an early start for a four hour journey for my mother's funeral and wont be back until the evening.

only recently diagnosed with COPD and the doctor first gave me Spiriva but had to stop as too drying and with a terrible cough so she then
prescribed Atrovent inhaler CFC free 20 micro. after a couple of weeks finding the side effects bad especially swollen ankles are much worse, nosebleeds, palpitations, dry mouth etc. Has anyone had this problem and is there another inhaler with less side effects.
