Trying to get off Sinemet
Still stuck on Sinemet (100mg levidopa/25mg carbidopa) which augmented causing severe muscle rigidity along with the worsening RLS convulsions. It was originally prescribed over 2 years ago to reduce potential damages to 4th spinal surgery. No one realized it would be so difficult to stop. I tapered

Isn't self-pity ugly, sorry, not sure what to do.
He ordered some MRI scans on my upper and lower spine (I have
spinal
stenosis
) and said that he would like us to work together to find out what was going on, he said he would see me again in 10 weeks time when the scans would have been done.

Spinal Stenosis
Good morning. I wonder if anyone can give me some advice? In 2018 I had a Laminectomy Operation to relieve pressure on my lower back, L3/4 and 5. The operation was, initially a success but after about 5/6 months the pain returned. The consultant arranged for another MRI Scan which showed that scar tissue

Thank you for being here for me!
I’m still trying to wrap my head around my current situation, so please forgive me if I’ll repeat what was discussed in my previous posts. Just to reiterate: in September my 6-month PET scan showed stable disease. 10 days later, the routine spine MRI indicated new spinal cord edema from T3-T4 to T9

Nnone of the doctors are willing to treat me now until the results of the spinal tap come back. What I know to be true is that I have
spinal
stenosis
, herniated disc, pinched nerve, However I have serious issues with balance and I have to use a Rollator in order to walk.

Calmare Therapy/Scrambler Therapy
Has anyone tried Calmare or Scrambler Therapy for Neuropathic nerve pain post surgery after having a spinal fusion carried out for scoliosis? Been reading about it online, not available in the UK but it is in Ireland, Italy and the US.

Gabepentin
In other cases where painful
spinal
Stenosis
pain is chronic, a light pain pill like tylenol can b used. Find a REAL Neurological movement specialist. Once again, DIANOSIS is critical in the use od Gabepentin. I have been through tis more time than I can count.

Follow up on leg pain -- Spinal Surgery?
Turns out that at L4/L5 I have pretty severe
spinal
stenosis
. The ortho thinks surgery is my best option, as other options would give me short lived or incomplete relief.

Some advice, please
I have to add that since my original PMR diagnosis I have now been diagnosed with hardening of the arteries in my legs, worse in right leg, and
spinal
stenosis
with disc collapse in the left of my back causing pressure on L5 nerve root, diagnosed by MRI, and I am awaiting a neurosurgical appointment.

Cortisol blood test
Hi again, please excuse my apparent ignorance, probably brought about due to poor or insufficient advice from the Medical profession. I have two questions: I have been told by my GP to have a Cortisol blood test. The only information given to me is to have it done at 9 am. I asked him if I should stop

How do you manage?
Living w/chronic pain most of my life. Opioids don't work for me, spinal cord stimulator helps. Exercise + mindfulness help also. I have use of a pool twice-weekly but must use rollator to help me walk. Pain care is mostly private and restricted in ROI, so very expensive! What access do you have to help
