Overwhelmed!!
Levothyroxine dose is 125mcg and I take
Spatone
for iron levels. I've since been told I could be low in: * Selenium * Zinc * Magnesium How am I even still alive? How am I even functioning these days? I don't even know how I can incorporate all these other things into my daily routine.

Is this linked to Hashimoto's?
Iron is low at 21ug/L but I've started taking
Spatone
again for that. Latest TSH result is 4.6 (0.27-4.2) and FT4 is 15.6 (12.22). I'm on thyroxine with the dose at 125mcg. Thanks Jo xxx

Working towards improving thyroid levels and vitamin levels - but I've got so much to be getting on with! Confused...
Vitamin levels – I’m low in Vitamin D, folate, ferritin, Vitamin B12 and possibly magnesium, so what I’ve decided to do is invest in some magnesium and a Vitamin B12 spray and continue taking the
Spatone
and Vitamin D meds.

Also can my Ferritin levels have really upped that much from not taking that much
Spatone
? I was quite surprised it went up at all from just having 6 or 7 sachets! Thanks Jo xxx

Blood test results back - is this now confirmed as Hashimoto's? Very confused...
results for Ferritin as per below: Ferritin result 1: 21 ug/L (30-400) Ferritin result 2: 22 u/gL (30-400) (Please note I have taken iron supplements in the past for the low Ferritin as directed by my GP the time before, but I have since stopped the supplements since they made me feel sick) I was on

Please have a look at two lots of test results? And advise on how to reduce t4?
I also take omegas, a multivitamin, b complex, two sachets of
Spatone
and 5000IU vit d. April: After a few years of feeling rubbish due to Hashi's, my doctor decided to add in 10mcg t3. I was already on 150 t4 and my test results were good but I felt awful.

GP wanted to see me - results are back. Need help please.
Low Iron - He does accept however that my low iron could be due to the hypothyroidism and I did mention that I didn't get on with the ferrous fumerate and took the
Spatone
.

Stopping levothyroxine
As suggested by a member I've tried
spatone
which has not helped. I asked me GP if I could stop the thyroxine to see if maybe that would stop the hair loss as I know taking thyrxone can also cause hair loss.

How much iron do you take if your levels are low?
I have been taking one
spatone
sachet a day, and I have started increasing it to two sachets from today, but is that enough?

Really worried about Blood Test results
The last test I had 2 weeks ago was 7ng (4.00 - 20.00) and yet I have been taking
Spatone
for over a month. I also eat liver at least once a week - what else can I do to raise it. My B12 is superb but as for my ferritin, in May 2011 it was 21ug (11.0 - 307.0) but it hasn't been tested since.

Feel like giving up...constipation has come back :(
I go to reflexology once every fortnight...I've cut out gluten and wheat...I've increased my water...I eat 4 of my 5 a day of fruit...I take
Spatone
...I take my meds...and everything was fine from Monday morning until today - when the constipation came back.

Iron supplementation
I am using
Spatone
as it is supposed to be kind on the digestive system. Can anyone recommend another brand or suggest ways I cd increase my iron uptake.

What is relationship between serum Iron and Ferritin levels
I've just started to take
Spatone
Iron [lowest dose] to assist in T4 conversion, hopefully- as I've been feeling rather underwhelmed by taking T4 [25ug] so far. None of my tests for a few years show Iron level & only one the Ferritin level [74 = 25% of range 30-300].

Been to see Dr BDP
SpaTone
for the iron, and sunshine for the vitamin D. I will keep a VERY detailed diary of my dosage changes and pulse and temperature and will send him a copy regularly, which along with a phone call if needed (if I panic at any time) will be the support I need.

Feeling better and managed to increase Armour
I had been taking
Spatone
but now I am taking a liquid iron supplement and I am feeling so much better. Also I am now taking 1/4 grain for 2 days then Nutri Thyroid for the 3rd and repeating this. Next I am going to try Armour every day.
