Thinking of going through with RAI Treatment but having doubts.
I've had Graves Disease for 7 years now and managed it on low doses of Carbimazole. This works well most of the time but find my levels still fluctuate and I still struggle now and again with muscle weakness, bruising, brain fog and low mood. I've learnt to manage these symptoms (kind of) but what I'm

How do you handle Prednisone weight gain?
The weight gain and the increase in appetite being on Prednisone and when I was taking Presnislone is irritating the hell out of me. I was wondering what some of you guys do. Or do you do anything? I'm not worried about the salt. I spoke to my doc about it back in Thailand and after telling her my

Hello again, Firstly, thanks for all the info so far! I have previously posted my results and thyroid background in another thread. I take thyroxine following RAI I was wondering if anyone knew of further reading/information/research on low but not suppressed TSH (I'm at 0.08), specifically in pregnancy

Resetting the Bar of Castration Resistance - Understanding Androgen Dynamics in Therapy Resistance and Treatment Choice in PCa

Here they are in a paper - can a video be far behind? I think that the paper addresses some issues that have often been

Follow up: Auximen Scan showed significant new cancerous growth and there is a whirlwind of information to absorb and choices to be made.
I met with MO's at Penn and Jefferson last week to review options for responding to active cancerous growth. They both mentioned 4 options but each ruled out 1 quickly. I had appointments with each last week. Penn on Monday and Jefferson on Tuesday. The following are the options given to me. 1. Switch

LEVOTHRYOXINE SODIUM & RESULTS
Hi everyone, Just looking for some more advice please. As you can see from my previous posts, I have had a total of 3 blood tests for my thyroid levels. It was very high in March 2020, but as you can see from my recent results... the levels are in the ‘normal’ bracket. I have been given medication

High ferritin level and skin problems
After my RAI treatment in January by March I started to become hypo. My scalp looked like a salt lake, white and crusty and very itchy. I mentioned it to my endo but as soon as I used the word lumpy he cut me off, nothing new there. Since then I’ve developed itchy, crusty spots and rashes . Having paid

Iodine when hypo?
Hello I would like to take some iodine, selenium and molybdenum to help with my b2 and b12. But I am hypo on 50/75mcg levo with antibodies 950 (autoimmune thyroid). Just wanting to ask is it safe to take iodine in this case (just the recommended daily amount)? I find it all very confusing

Getting off levo is possible. My experience.
I stopped taking levothyroxine in May after weaning off it for a year and a half. For those that are interested in what happens when you wean off levo - it takes about a month/month and a half for the body to adjust to not having the external hormones coming in. For me, one of the surprising changes

Test results, following up from a month ago
Hello. I posted on here a month ago asking for advice before an endo appointment. I was feeling very poorly - a lot of joint pain, brain fog, falling over, dizzy, ears ringing etc. Your advice was really helpful, thank you. I ended up having levothyroxine increased from 50 to 75mcg, liothyrinine

Hyperthyroidism - treatment sequence?
Hi guys I've been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and referred to see a consultant, which I'm researching now. I can see from my limited research that there are approximately 2 or 3 different treatment options, including some medication, radiates iodine and finally surgery. I'm wondering if all

Allergy to iodine ..why now!?
After my eye injections in August I had an allergic reaction I’ve never had before. With 10 minutes of leaving hospital my nose started streaming ...which I thought may be hay fever but when I got home one eye was swollen and badly bloodshot. Had a little sleep and when I woke my cheeks were red and

Surgery to the spine for mets
I have mets to my spine in the cervical and thoracic regions and have had the maximum radiation allowed to that area. It seems there is new activity in the area and the Docs are discussing surgery to try and eliminate some of the spinal compression causing pain and numbness. Has anyone undergone surgery

Anyone gets sick from taking vitamins/minerals?
Hello. I know many will find this question silly, but this is something I have observed for over 10 years now. Its almost like I'm allergic to vitamins. Whether from a supplement, or from fruits, the effect is the same. Anytime I eat fruit for a period of several days (any fresh fruit, no specific fruit
