Update on progress with MF and the FEDORA clinical trial
So to recap, I was diagnosed with primary MF in October 2022 and asked to join a new clinical trial called FEDORA. After many tests including a BMB, ultrasound on my abdomen, chest X-ray etc. I started on the pre medication of 400mg/day (in one dose) of Fedratinib in capsule form. This was the first

pelvic lymph node tumour
after 10 years after Brachytherapy a petscan has indicated a 1cm sq tumour in a lymph node in the pelvic region.what a bugger. I saw the image on the computer screen of a speck of light - it's hard to imagine it was cancer??? the mri scan & the petscan confirmed no cancer in any of the organs

Preemptive kidney transplant experience and results
Everywhere I read, everyone agrees that a preemptive transplant from a living donor is the best you can hope for when you have stage 5 kidney failure. I would like to hear about your experience if you went through transplant before needing dyalisis. What were your GFR, your BUN and your creatinine

Sudden rise in Tacrolimus
I received a kidney transplant in July 2021. Everything has gone swimmingly. I caught a mild case of Covid at the end of July and received a multiclonal antibody infusion. When I went for my August bloodwork, my Tacrolimus trough, which had been running 5-7, was suddenly 9.6. When I did my bloodwork

Amlodipine Side Effects, short and long term
I am on 10mg amlodipine (this dosage was prescribed right off the bat) several years ago, to be taken with 100mg labetalol twice a day. I felt terrible at first but better now, though frequently tired. I'm wondering if these meds are too much and the cause of my fatigue (I am 69 y.o.) I am also being

Transplant Journey outcomes/advice anyone?
Hi, I have had CKD for several years and declined dramatically over the last 6mths -1yr and was actually started urgently on dialysis in July when my GFR dropped to 3 and creatine was 12.43. I had already had a consult and was added to a wait list for kidney transplant in early February of this year.

Stem Cell Transplant (stc) after care
Can someone who has been through a sct, or their carer, give me info about the time after hospital discharge please? We live more than 30 minutes from the transplant centre so the hospital is providing us with a flat in Bristol where my husband will be my carer. I know the early days he'll need to

Post-Transplant Arterial Line Bruise
Has anyone else experienced inside arm bruises after kidney transplant surgery like this? Very painful, Tylenol won't touch it and they don't want to prescribe anything stronger.

Hypoxia, transplant dry runs and raising awareness of IPF

Fibroscan
I got told in May that I would need a Liver Transplant in y2rs time after being hospitalised and nearly dying from a Gastrointestinal bleed. I am not a drinker and have had an unexplained liver condition for 35yrs. However I had a Fibroscan and it came back normal. Also my blood results are on
