Reintroducing Foods with Past IBS Flares (gas and runny tummy)
I still take loperamide but I have been low on
simethicone
which is for gas.... The urgency of two months ago is not as present as before but I still take the antidiarrhea drug if I have a long day on the road.

Excruciating Lower Left Pelvis Pain
Sometimes I feel gassy so I take
simethicone
for antiflatulence but it doesn’t help with the pain all of the time. I have been taking mefanamic acid almost everyday (if needed) for the past week and I’m worried about long term effects and of course, dependency.

Tip for pain during salvage IMRT
Anyway, problem fixed, almost instantly, by taking Imodium (with
simethicone
) which killed the spasms and changing diet to eliminate fats, fried foods, and fiber. I can share recipes if anyone likes.

The stomach pain bloating and constipation are controlled by
simethicone
tablets, stool softener and movantik tablets. Since my falls and spinal and rib fractures in January 2017 and March 2018 my mobility and activities are greatly limited.

Advice requested.
I am taking phayzme (
simethicone
) daily to help with gas. Should I be asking for additional testing? SIBO? Candida? Food sensitivities? Are these tests reliable? Thank you for your help.

Relief of abdominal bloating and gas pain
I have been taking
Simethicone
180 mg soft gels, gas relief and prevention enzyme supplement 1 capsule per day, and probiotic colon support 1 capsule per day. These have helped a little but it is still greatly affecting daily quality of life. Has anyone found anything that might be more effective?

A Snippet: Wind-eze Gel Caps (contain Simeticone - as activated Dimeticone): Can Reduce Absorption of Levothyroxine and other Thyroid Meds
Hi All. Doing some research for a forum member and discovered that Wind-eze Gel Caps (an anti-wind agent) contain Simeticone (activated Dimeticone), a drug that can reduce the absorption of levothyroxine (and other thyroid medications). http://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/PIL.26520.latest.pdf Interestingly

Newbie
Hi Everybody Newbie to the forum. I've suffered from IBS for the last 4-5 years. Whilst living in France my doctor prescribed me Meteospasmyl, a mixture of Alverine and Simeticone. I have recently moved back to the U.K but my doctor is not aware of it. Anyone know anything or if i can get this anywhere

Lactose Intolerance
He told me to buy
simethicone
(De-gas) which I did, also bought milk with lactase in it. I didn't have diarrhoea. After only a couple of days feeling much better. I had been having a cup of milk every night before bed,and had been having yogurt as well.

Does anyone get colic from/with GORD?
I am a long time sufferer of GERD/GORD (depending on where you come from!) and I have oesophagitis because of it. I now also suffer from IBS, which may or may not be related, but it makes eating a whole lot of fun. Over a month ago I had an attack of 'biliary colic' (not really, as I no longer have a

Severe colic that won't go away - anyone else had this?
Hi, I was diagnosed - very casually as if it was unimportant - with IBS a while back. About 3 weeks ago I ended up in hospital with what felt like biliary colic (gallstone pain). If you've ever had an attack of colic you'll know how it feels: agonisingly tight, like someone is crushing your chest, with

Hypersensitivity IBS / IBSD - A potential solution
Hi all, I've been a lurker on various gut related forums for a couple of years now, but now I feel I have something useful to share, I wanted to make a first post. Since a bad bout of food poisoning in 2006, I've suffered from what has been variably described as "IBS", "Bowel function disorder", "Visceral

DIARRHOEA
Adding
simethicone
(SIM) to LOP improves its efficacy, but the mechanism of interaction is unclear. Novel MRI techniques to assess small bowel water content (SBWC) have shown that mannitol solutions markedly increase SBWC and can be used as a model of diarrhoea.
