This Seretide with Spacer Technique has worked just fine for me for 30 years now.
Commenced
Seretide
at about age 40 in 1990 - always with a spacer. Here's what I have always done, since Day 1 - the patient leaflet does not suggest anything like this.

My Asthma
I have had my inhalers changed to Spiriva once a day and my
seretide
disk inhaler changed to puffer inhaler so I can use my spacer. I have now been seen at the hospital and they have recommended I see the physio and try some breathing exercises They are thinking it may be pollen related .

Fostair: virtues & vices
I've tried a variety of other inhlaers over the past year: Q-var, Pulmicort,
Seretide
50, Flixotide (with and without either formoterol or Salmeterol). None of them work anywhere near as well as the Fostair. Thus, I'm at a bit of a dead end.

Hi , I’ve recently been in hospital with heart problems, one of the triggers seems to be my
Seretide
250 , 2 puffs a day ( I’m not suggesting this could cause anyone else problems or that anyone would stop taking it ) my asthma nurse was very defensive for some reason and wouldn’t prescribe anything

Seretide
I have been using
seretide
250 for a month now. I got a rash on my face. Is it possible because of
seretide
?

Doctor saying it isn't asthma, but I'm not really following what he says
GP switched me from
seretide
250 to fostair 200/6, but hospital switched me back again. Gp also doesn't like that I've been put on spiriva respimat, but they put me on that because they thought post nasal drip was causing issues. This year my asthma has seemed wayyyyy more erratic than ever before.

Another inhaler change... Steroid Card or not?
So, the Fostair really wasn't working out for me (https://healthunlocked.com/asthmauk/posts/146157097/
seretide
-to-fostair) so I was back to the nurse who has now given me a new inhaler - this time it's a Relvar 182/22.

Peak Flow going down... :(
Since in August 2019 the doc swapped my meds (
seretide
250 to symbicort 80 4.5) everything changed. I went from 500 peak flow to 645. No more phlegm, no infections, a lot of resistance..Excellent improvement of my condition.

Fostair
So now on the
seretide
it’s early days with it but so far so good! I’m breathing again had the best nights sleep I’ve had since Christmas it’s been a cruel winter for me this year but hopefully on the mend and when the weather mends I can get out on my bike for some well needed fresh air

Steroids and aspergillosis ?
Can
seretide
or any corticosteroids inhaled or taken orally encourage the growth of aspergillus in the lungs . I have a poor immune system and know that steroids can further weaken our defences.

Fostair side effects
About 5 days ago I had my pumps switched over from
seretide
(as was not working) to Fostair Nexthaler. Although my asthma symptoms have improved, the day after starting Fostair I developed all over body pain, muscle cramps in legs, dizziness and feel generally unwell.

Obstructive asthma or Asthma - COPD overlap - confused
I also take
seretide
500 twice a day, I did go down to 250 but that increased the salbutamol usage. It is now being queried, I may have either obstructive asthma where reversal of airways isn’t fully managed or developed asthma - COPD overlap.

Seretide and inflammation/carpal tunnel/stuffy nose
Feels like it has made things a bit inflamed but maybe it will pass, or is unrelated to the
seretide
! Thanks so much

wanting to stop using Seretide
I basically ignored the new inhalers as most I'd already tired before I settled with
Seretide
as it was the least worst.

Seretide Vs Aloflute
I’ve been taking
seretide
and ventolin inhalers as normal for the past 20 years, but the last time I went to pick up my preventer prescription it was Aloflute/generic.

Group 7 vaccine group
I have severe asthma and have attacks and am on
Seretide
. I have been shielding again as received a call to last year. Now just found out I am in group 7 for vaccine. Apparently, a doctors receptionist also has severe asthma and type 1 diabetes and on group 7. Is there something wrong here?
